COURT HOUSE -- Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor on Thursday, May 28 announced that Kathleen McCullough, 53, of East Keswick Road, Philadelphia was charged with multiple counts of registering to vote in an election district in which she was not a resident.
The Prosecutor’s Office, assisted by the Cape May County Board of Elections, conducted an investigation after receiving allegations of voter fraud beginning with the 2007 Wildwood municipal election.
According to a release, during the course of the investigation, many individuals who listed their domiciles in Cape May County were challenged by the Board of Elections.
Subsequently, Super Court Judge Raymond Batten decided whether of not the individuals were eligible to vote.
The investigation revealed that McCullough’s primary domicile was in Philadelphia and her eligibility to vote was revoked by Batten in May 2007.
Following that decision, McCullough altered her voter registration information and proceeded to vote illegally in the Wildwood municipal election, presidential primary election and the state primary election in 2008.
McCullough was charged with three counts of false registration and was charged on a summons.
Persons convicted of that crime may be punished for each offense by a fine up to $1,000 and imprisonment not exceeding five years, or both.
The Prosecutor’s Office “is committed to diligently investigate and prosecute any and all persons who willfully violate the state’s laws governing the legal registration and voting in municipal, county, state and federal elections,” according to the release.
Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office will investigate all credible allegations of voter fraud during the upcoming elections set for June 2 and all future elections, Taylor concluded.

D2B IT SEEMS LIKE THE DOUBLE STANDARDS, BUT THERE SHOULD BE NO RULES FOR ONE AND NOT THE OTHER, IF GOVERMENT IS CORRUPT IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED, AND CRIMINAL CHARGES SHOULD BE BROUGHT FORTH, I THINK THE CITY OF WILDWOOD, CITY HALL SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED???

Me, I think that the difference is that Kathy is not a local. She is getting penalized because she owns a second home. You should choose where you want to reside and pay taxes accordingly. If she pays NJ wage taxes and she claims NJ residency then she should be allowed to vote.
Her guilt or innocence is her issue. What most people take exception with are the relatives, business owners, and developers that voted in the election in 2007. The prosecutor has charged none of them.
Sometimes it seems like there are separate rules for connected locals. It's one of the things that hold the island back. Government jobs are a who's who of connected people. It's one of the things that holds Wildwood back. Wildwood has the government that it deserves.

As far as Kathleen M. goes, remember this people, "What is good for the goose is good for the gander" and to anyone and everyone who has voted illegally you too shall be found and charged just like Kathleen. Doesn't matter who you are, to whom you are related to or even who you know! Should be very interesting to see just who comes up besides Kathleen! Any guesses as to others who shall be in line with Kathleen?
Next, with all the investigations going on LET THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE NOT FORGET the other major issues and concerns of the taxpayers regarding the current administration in office. Please do not overlook what the taxpayers need investigated! And if you in the county cannot do it then it needs to be addressed by our STATE gov't. But the taxpayers of Wildwood need assistance NOW!

WT, THE MAYOR IS DOING WHAT????
Call the Prosecutors office at once, charge Triano and Wood for harassment and witness tampering. This is criminal. This is small town THUGGERY at its finest.
I hope no one caves in out of fear. The only way to stop this, gather on the steps of city hall with pitchforks in hand and demand answers.

Let the citizens of Wildwood know that somehow the Mayor has received the names of persons that signed the recall and is calling them to ask that they remove their names. HOW IS THIS HAPPENING? MR. WOOD HAS SOME SPLAININ TO DO? Investigate how the mayor is receiving the information. Surely it just wasn't a wild guess!
And what the heck would make the mayor think that people who are dissatisfied would remove their names because he calls them at their homes? How unprofessional and desparate is the Mayor?????????

I hope the Prosecutors Office will check Mr. Davenport’s daughter, lives in North Jersey, works in North Jersey and voted in the elections. Let’s see what Mr. Magoo Davenport says about this or is it OK for family members?????????????????????????????????????/

Mr. Taylor is a very fair and highly intelligent man and surely will investigate ALL of the voting that has occurred in Wildwood for the last election (2007 and back further if need be). Certainly this is just the opening of what will be a very large can of worms regarding the voting eligibility of all voters for 2007 in Wildwood.
Thank you Mr. Taylor for your efforts to maintain the law, certainly you will continue to investigate all of the mess that we have in Wildwood. We really need your assistance with the mess here.

Prosecutor Taylor will be a busy man checking out illegal voting in Wildwood
and he can start on the steps of City Hall

Don’t get all excited, Kathleen McCullough knew her signature would be challenged.
Prosecutor Taylor better investigate ALL allegations of voter fraud in the 2007 municipal election with the same vigor, and as yet hasn’t. There is a list of voter registrations that are still sitting on someone’s desk or maybe in the round file that the Prosecutor has done nothing with. But he got on this right away didn’t he. CAN YOU SAY CORRUPTION????

I bet if the election bureau was diligent we would see that the same thing is going on in all of the past elections in Stone Harbor. Since the elections are always so close it's very possible that elections have been stolen by these imposter's. Corruption is rampant all over the South Jersey Shore. .

Digger29:
What a joke. First, if McCullough signed the recall(which I don't know for certain, but which is likely given her vociferous opposition to the incompetents Troiano and Davenport), hers is merely one signature out of nearly 700. She is not on either of the 2 recall committees. How you could wonder that one signature would invalidate the legality of the ENTIRE recall, and its 690 other signatures, is laughable. That said, the two undesired commissioners Troiano and Davenport have every right to challenge her signature(and that of any of signatory whom they suspect to be ineligible). They will challenge, and as they should, but it won't stop the deafening roar of the people(the recall gathered about 100 more signatures(690) than the the # of votes with which Troiano won the last election(593). Even without her single signature, the recall committee collected exactly 75 more signatures than are needed to force the special election. Even if 75 more signatures are found to be invalid(highly unlikely), the recall still has enough support to recall Troiano and Davenport once and for all.
Second, the recall efforts were initiated and carried forward with the best intentions for Wildwood. They grew not out of "personal hatred," but out of frustration with the litany of governmental missteps for which Troiano and Davenport have been responsible. Recall supporters and the recall committees themselves are independant of Demarzo(who btw is free to write to any government agency he desires). Get your facts straight. The recall was not "arranged" by Demarzo. It is an organic movement that had its roots in the calls to "IMPEACH TROIANO!" that were sounded years before Demarzo even entered office. You really should just attend to that rag of an online newspaper you labor over, or focus on advocating the totally out of touch with reality concept of high-rises, and leave the politics to the big kids.

If McCullough is a liar, than DeMarzo must also be a liar because she only publically reads what DeMarzo writes for her.

GO GET EM, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THESE PEOPLE, MOSTLY ON THE TROIANO PAYROLL, I MEAN CITY OF WILDWOOD PAYROLL WHO VOTED ILLEGALLY, IF THE PROSECUTORS OFFICE ONLY CHARGES THIS ONE LADY, THERE IS GONNA BE A LOT OF SPLAINEN TO DO.
Thu, 05/28/2009 - 6:41pm - Posted by: Wildwood was a great place before DeMarzo
Kathy McCoullough wrote 2 years worth of letters to the Herald and the Leader about Troiano and Davenport being Liars and called for invesigations. Whose the liar now Kathy? All the Investigations that you, Delavilla ,& Demarzo called for have turned up nothing, Zip ,Zilch ,Nada! How did your investigation turn out?

And let the games begin.......

If I'm not mistaken, Kathy is one of the gang pushing this misguided recall election along with DeMarzo, Brennan, Dellavella, Totah, etc. So far, both Kathy M. and Dellavella have been ruled ineligible to vote in Wildwood. If this is so, how can the recall be legal? At least one of the names on the petition to hold a recall has been ruled ineligible. Also, if DeMarzo, an elected public official, begins arranging a recall effort of the other two elected officials and writing several letters to the FBI, State AG, and Dept. of Community Affairs within one week of the election, doesn't this constitute a coup d-etat? These bozos aren't elegible, they shouldn't be allowed to overturn the election based on personal hatred!

Although this unfortunate event has occurred it will have no bearing on the RECALL. The taxpayers have spoken! Wonder what other things the duo have up their sleeve?
ONE MONKEY DON'T STOP NO SHOW!

Better check out a lot more than this lady in Wildwood!! Bet there are more than just her that voted in the 2007 election. Check the residences for primary and secondary and see what you get coming out of it.
And help the residents of Wildwood to figure out where all our tax dollars, grant monies etc. have gone and to whom/for what purpose.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please don't let the investigations into Wildwood end here.

If she voted Democrat please show leniency toward this poor misguided women who must have had a brief misunderstanding of her voting residence
If she vote Republican, lock her up and throw away the key
