To The Editor: Anyone who has lived in or follows the Wildwoods knows that the local political environment can be quite interesting at times. Just a look at the recent goings on in West Wildwood is enough to make your head spin. How can these small communities have such wild politics? Then there's the case of Wildwood, a place my wife and I have been proud to call home for nine years. As most people know, there is currently an attempt to recall two of three of the commissioners. The anti-taxes group, you know the ones who whine about taxes but offer no leadership or solutions, seem to think that Commissioners Davenport and Troiano are responsible for the total heavy tax burden we have. Reality is, municipal bonds and union contracts were set in place long before these people came to office, and we now must bear the burden of those acts from long ago. It does not mean that the three commissioners don't have some control over taxes; they do and really need to work together to do what they can for the future. Sadly, their leadership has also come into question. My wife and I attend community functions. Troiano and Davenport are most usually in attendance representing the community as they should. Unfortunately I hardly ever see the third commissioner out and about amongst the citizens. Having just attended a fundraiser to bring the traveling Vietnam Wall permanently to Wildwood, both were there. It was heartening to see Mayor Ernie Troiano donate $1,000 to this cause out of his own pocket. I also appreciated seeing my fellow former Marine, Commissioner William Davenport bringing his support to this cause. Both lead by being active in the community they serve. On the few occasions I have needed city help, they have listened and addressed my issues. I am not a personal friend to either nor do I owe either for a job or the like. I just feel they are getting judged unfairly. As for the third commissioner, who I did vote for, I would just say this is not what I voted for. I ask that residents think strongly before signing any petition, and understand the alternative could be far worse. DAVE WERTMAN Wildwood

The Atlantiic City Press at their own expense and with tips from citizens have uncovered numerous corrupt politicians saving the taxayers millions. I'm not sure the Herald has the staff to do this but I'm sure if you know of corruption going on in Wildwood you could ask them if they are interested. The fastest way to lower taxes is to get rid of the corruption. The New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice has established a toll-free Corruption Tip Line 1-866-847-7425 for the public to confidentially report corruption, financial crime and other illegal activities. Anyone who has knowledge of corruption, misappropriation of USDA money, taxpayer money or financial crime should report it immediately.

Is someone silencing the Herald from reporting on Wildwood and all the City Hall problems lately. There hasn't been any articles or letters to editor in sometime now. The press reported on the matter concerning Troiano & Davenport against DeMarzo. Why is the Herald not reporting anything?

APPEARS THAT MR. WERTMAN AS NOTHING TO SAY AND ABSOLUTELY NO DEFENSE TO OFFER ON BEHALF OF THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER. MAYBE HE HAS BEEN ENLIGHTENED BY SOME OF THE INFO THAT HE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN AWARE OF. THAT WOULD BE A GREAT THING FOR HIM!

Mr. Wertman, do your homework. Mayor Troiano has done more municipal bonding to the taxpayers in the history of the City of Wildwood. Please get copies from the Clerk’s Office of the Ordinance Work Sheet listing bond ordinances passed by Mayor Troiano. A bond ordinance is an ordinance with money attached to it (a bond) which gets added to our tax burden. Bonding to the taxpayers is over and above our budget, for things like water and sewer, rec center, bandshell/museum, vehicles (who puts vehicles in as a capital expenditure in this day and age), etc.
Since becoming Mayor both sons are on the fire department and he has hired many of his friends and cronies, increasing the City work force by 25%. The Fire and Safety Department has already received approximately a 20% increase together with a percentage for their years of service in longevity and presently looking for a salary increase. Both Mayor Troiano and Commissioner Davenport are totally conflicted in their capacity as Commissioners in charge of Public Works and Fire and Public Safety and the Construction Office. The Public Works contract was rewarded a contract of approximately 40%. Who ever heard of a 40% increase!! Wildwood Water Superintendent in an article in the Herald this past week stated he has 26 employees but considers himself a half employee because he only works one day a week. The list of City of Wildwood 2009 salaries shows Gary Zeigler yearly salary as $49,999. For one day a week??? This is outrageous. Contracts can be broken and re- negotiated under Chapter 9. This administration did lay off a majority of the Construction Office, (I am sure that there was a union and/or contracts in place) because of the State of Affairs of the economy and construction environment.
At a time when municipalities are tightening their budgets and renegotiating contracts to affordable levels to save jobs Mayor Troiano ignores a cost saving study for consolidating the North Wildwood and Wildwood Fire Departments showing a $1 million savings the first year, and the four Wildwood municipalities which cover only 4.5 square miles have a total of 8 fire houses. This is outrageous and an unneeded burden on the taxpayers of all the Wildwoods.

COULD THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER BE CHARGED WITH "MALFEASANCE OF OFFICE" FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE WITH THE TAXPAYERS MONIES? NOT TO MENTION WHAT THEY HAVE DONE WITH THE GOV'T MONIES RECEIVED ALONG WITH ALL THE BONDING..........AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!

You ask can someone tell you why the Prosecutor's are not investigating WW?
Either it is that "one hand washes the other" or it is out of their league? But why aren't some good samaritans within City Hall standing up and bringing the info to the appropriate investigation personnel? Maybe because their all in on this and remaining tight knitted or that they fear recrimination and/or losing their jobs and large pay rates along with their benefits. And many of those that work in City Hall don't live on this island! Imagine that!

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THE CAPE MAY COUNTY PROSECUTORS OFFICE IS NOT INVOLVED IN THIS MATTER IN WILDWOOD, WHY IS NOTHING BEING DONE, WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY?????
Wed, 02/25/2009 - 8:38am - Posted by: Anonymous
LOOKS LIKE THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS WOULD HOLD A NEWS CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE MONIES THAT WERE RECEIVED BY THE CITY OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. APPARENTLY, THEY DO NOT WISH TO CLEAR THIS MATTER UP. SO OBVIOUSLY, THEY MAY HAVE ALOT TO HIDE. ARE THEY TRYING TO GET ALL THEIR 'DUCKS' IN A ROW TO TRY TO BLANKET WHAT HAS HAPPENED? DO THE WORKERS IN CITY HALL THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THE MONETARY MATTERS UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THESE ISSUES? HAVE THEY TOO BEEN AWARE OF THE 'ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL' METHOD OF RUNNING THIS CITY? WHO CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE UP TO AND INCLUDING THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS?

BETTER THAN THE RECALL....................IMPEACH THESE APPARENT CRIMINALS!!
DAVE WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO WRITE ABOUT YOUR MAYOR NOW?
ERNIE TROIANO--THE TAXPAYERS OF WILDWOOD DESERVE TO KNOW WHERE ALL THE MONEY WENT! I'D SAY YOU HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO AS TO WHERE ALL THE MONIES WENT. JUST LIKE THE MONIES YOU KEPT FROM THE BACK BAY DEAL..WHERE IS ALL THAT MONEY AS WELL? I HOPE THAT YOU AND WHOMEVER IS INVOLVED IN THESE APPARENT ILLEGAL MATTERS REALLY GET WHAT YOU ALL DESERVE! A ONE ROOM CELL IN THE PRISON WITH A REALLY GOOD CELL MATE!

Ernie, "WHERE'S ALL THE MONEY"!!! I can't believe the Wildwood Water Utility is asking for another big water increase for water/sewer pipes. Since 2001, Wildwood has gotten $13 million from the USDA for mostly water and sewer infrastructure. And the remaining four towns on the 5 mile island with Wildwood have gotten $10 million in USDA money. Plus the City of Wildwood has bonded approximately $10 to $15 million more over and above this USDA money to the taxpayers for water and sewer. See following web site for info on USDA monies:

See the 2/20/09 Press article "Wildwood Water Untility seek rate increase". Wildwood Water Superindent, Gary Ziegler, states he considers himself a half employee because he only works for the department one day a week. Then why does his City of Wildwood W2 for 2007 show $47,548. His 2009 salary is listed as $49,992. This seems to be an outrageous salary for one day a week on the backs of the City of Wildwood taxpayers. Recall can't come soon enough.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS ADVISORY BOARD IS THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO ALL HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISES TO THE TAXPAYERS OF WILDWOOD IN ALL HONESTY!
HE TOOK THE OATH OF OFFICE TO BE A PUBLIC SERVANT AND SERVE ALL THE TAXPAYERS OF WILDWOOD. INSTEAD HE SERVED HIS OWN, BUSINESSES AND BELIEVES THAT HE IS THE KING AND EVERYTHING HAS TO BE HIS WAY, HIS DECISIONS, HIS WORD. HIS INTERESTS HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE 'REGULAR' TAXPAYERS AS HE CALLS THEM. HIS INTERESTS HAS BEEN IN THE BUSINESSES SO THEY CAN TRY TO MAKE THIS SOMETHING IT WILL NEVER BE.....THE TAXPAYERS RULE HERE AND IN THE END WHEN HE IS CLEANING OUT HIS OFFICE HE WILL REALIZE WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING!

Everyone should check out today's Philadelphia Inquirer "Local News" section page B3. "Wildwood files lawsuits over police training." I find it interesting Davenport is quoted saying wildwood has roughly 40 full-time police officers and they hire 40 more for the summer when the population goes from 4,000 to l50,000. So if they only need 40 more part-time police officers for the extra 146,000 people in the summer, why do they need over 40 police officers for the less than 4,000 winter residents in a 1.3 sq. mile town. Sounds like classic corruption with no-show jobs to me that the taxpayers are being raped for. Ocean City, NJ, which is 7 square miles and has a year-population of 20,000 people (larger and more people than all 4 Wildwoods put together) does it with 53 full-time police officers. So the City of Wildwood's population increases 4,000% in the summer and the City hires 100% more (40) police offers which are sufficient. Davenport has some explaining to do. And I'm shocked the Commissioner of Public Safety is quoted as saying approximately 40 police. He's the commissioner, he should know exactly how many full-time police there are in the City of Wildwood. The last time I checked which was maybe five months ago there were 47 full-time police officers on the payroll in the City of Wildwood.

Does anyone know what happened to the Mayor's "Advisory Board"?
Mon, 02/23/2009 - 3:25pm - Posted by: Anonymous
The promotion of a select number businesses like La Cucina and Boardwalk pier owners as well as other business establishments is all that matters here in Wildwood. And these are the guys that are well taken care of by City officials.
Seeing commentors wrtie that if the taxpayers of Wildwood do not like it we should sell our homes and leave. That is what Troiano says too, so it must be the topic of conversation that he has with these supporters of his. We are not leaving nor will we go away. The Recall is eminent and upon changes being made in City Hall and the right people in place to be servants of ALL THE TAXPAYERS, professional, intelligent and know how to run and operate the City in the manner it should be operating.........then maybe all you who were under the Troiano Wings will decide to move since you won't get away with all that has been allowed by the current city administration.
What you people fail to understand is we are not leaving, we're standing our grounds and protecting our rights as taxpayers/property owners!! We can deal with changes but we cannot deal with being ripped off by our City Government Officials. And will not deal with their outright untruths! This is why the RECALL is in place and will succeed!

Note surprised the "Sweetheart Dance" was a flop. And less surprised that the Mayor's friend Joey M (Montello) got plugs all night for his La Cucina Restaurant. This restaurant is overpriced and has the worst food on the island. And Joe Montello and his wife voted in the May 8, 2007, Municipal Election despite the fact that they reside in Cape May Court House with their son who goes to school in Middle Township. The were mysteriously put on the City of Wildwood voter rolls weeks before the 2007 election voting from a rental property they owned at the time in the City. I guess if the Montellos despite being challenged were allowed to vote with Mayor Troiano's approval because they have dual residences or a rental residence in Wildwood, then all those who are dual residents should be afforded the same rights. Six Nickels from 3 different families, owners of Nickels Pier, vote in the City of Wildwood despite residing in North Wildwood and Court House with no true residences in the City of Wildwood. In fact, two of the Nickels voted from 308 E. Cedar Ave., in the 2007 and 2008 elections, where there is no such address. Owners of Groffs and Garfields restaurants and the Premiere, Quebec, LaVoyageur, Fountain, Royal Canadian, Windward Motels , etc. all vote in the City of Wildwood from these business addresses despite residing in their huge homes in Wildwood Crest, North Wildwood, Cape May, etc. I suggest all dual residents change their utility bills and tax bills to their Wildwood addresses and register to vote before the recall election which will probably be in May or June. Dual residents have more right to vote from their properties where they have a true residence in Wildwood, and to be able to have a say where their tax money goes, than these motel and business owners who have no true residence in Wildwood.

WHAT REALLY SCARES ME ABOUT WILDWOOD POLITICS IS, I'M QUITE NOT SURE IF ANYONE IN WILDWOOD IS CAPABLE OF GOVERNING THE CITY AS MAYOR, INCLUDING THE ONE WHICH IS BEING RECALLED, IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE A MAYOR WHO IS NON PARTIAL TO THE TOWN, AND A MAYOR WHO REALLY UNDERSTANDS THE CITIZENS PROBLEMS OF SUCH DISASTER THIS TOWN IS HAVING.

I was at the sweet heart concert, it was a flop. Nice show but it is getting old. More of a disgrace was that everyone kept plugin' LA PIAZZA CUCINA and JOEY "M". My guess is that this concert was put on so he could benefit personally. What a creep.

The signature drive is doing very well. The petitions are immediately sealed and sent to the attorney in Atlantic City that represents the group. The response has been very strong about 10 to 1 in favor as the recall group goes door to door.
NO names are released until the 619 plus signatures are collected. The integrity of the petitions and confidentiality are very important to us. People have asked to be the only one on a petition and done this many many times. The max is ten to a petition. There is a separate petition for each Troiano and Davenport. NO ONE has just signed on or the other yet.
The question on WHO IS RUNNING is NOT a factor. A “Recall Election” is just one type of “Special Election”. It does nothing more than push the 2011 election up to 2009. The same people that might run in 2011 will now have to run in 2009. They will have to campaign just like a regular election. If Troiano and Davenport want to run again then they are allowed to.
I am glad you are thinking about who is going to run for office. You are going to have to give that some thought sooner or later whether it was in 2011 or 2009. Moving the election up two years stops the 40 cent tax hikes for each of the next three years.
When Commissioner Fred Wager passed away the City would have had to have a Special Election if he did not die in office 6 months prior to a general election.
Our site www.wildwoodrecall.org has more information.

HEY Sat, 02/21/2009 - 2:01pm (LOVE THE WEB SITE)
Egocentric and grandiose (Troiano and Davenport to a "T")
Psychopaths have a narcissistic and grossly inflated view of their self-worth and importance, a truly astounding egocentricity and sense of entitlement. They see themselves as the center of the universe, as superior beings who are justified in living according to their own rules.
Psychopaths are seldom embarrassed about their legal, financial or personal problems. Rather, they see them as temporary setbacks, the results of bad luck, unfaithful friends or an unfair and incompetent system.
Psychopaths feel that their abilities will enable them to become anything they want to be. Given the right circumstances—opportunity, luck, willing victims—their grandiosity can pay off spectacularly. For example, the psychopathic entrepreneur "thinks big," but it's usually with someone else's money.

First of all to the spelling"disfunctional"--------it is spelled "dysfunctional"!!
And yes Wildwood is dysfunctional but only because of the dysfunctional Mayor and Commissioner in office! It is a three-ring circus to say the least. The sooner these guys are removed from office the better it will be for Wildwood and all the taxpayers who live here. Wonder if they run their households like they run the city? Wonder if they run their private businesses like they run the City? The answer is hell-no or their households and businesses would be in the demise that they have put Wildwood in! When will it all catch up with them? When is the axe going to fall on their wrong-doings and stop this madness? Is there any pending investigations on the Mayor and Commissioner regarding the gov't monies that have been received and utilized for things other than they are alotted for? THAT RECALL CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH. Imagine what these vindictive guys will do to our city knowing they are on their way out. That is why they are suddenly putting the speed up on all these things they need done for the Boardwalk businesses and all the other cronies that need things done. They are robbing from the poor to give to the rich. And their giving just keeps on to assist their cronies!

So tell us Dave- How can the Mayor explain what he has done with the monies that were for the piping that needs to be replaced? Exactly what has he done with the monies he has received in grants, through bonds etc.? Then you can write a letter to tell us all about your findings on this one!
I hope that all these comments on your letter make you think a little more outside the box your in and allow you to really think about who is getting a 'BAD RAP' here really!!

WHAT A DISFUNCTIONAL TOWN WILDWOOD IS, EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS A DISASTER, THE COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS ARE A JOKE, NEVER A DULL MOMENT IN WILDWOOD, INSTEAD OF WORKING TOGETHER, IT'S CONTINOUS COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PERSON OR THAT PERSON, ACT LIKE PROFESSIONALS.

To these comments. I think you have a he'll of nerve for your ignorant letter. Are you going to the next commissioner's meeting? If so, I can't wait to see you there.

I really wish the recall was for all 3 commissioners. They are a disgrace, all of them. But it is what it is, and in my mind the only thing worse than DeMarzo ending up as mayor, is letting Troiano continue to run the show. We can fear that DeMarzo will be a screw up, but we absolutely know the disaster Troiano's reign has been. He may be a nice guy in his personal life, but he does not know how to handle himself as mayor. He is arrogant and insulting to those who disagree with him, thinks he can rule like a monarch, takes care of businesses on the backs of homeowners and takes care of his good ol' boys at the expense of everyone else. For example, when taxpayers are suffering and rightly demanding the imposition of beach fees, so that those who use the beaches help pay to guard and maintain them, he agrees to GWTIDA's ad campaign based on free beaches, concerts, etc. All these freebies are provided at taxpayer expense (GWTIDA itself is funded by the island municipalities, therefore by taxpayers). It's time to put someone in office who can make the hard choices that everyone has to make in hard times. If we can't do that, at least we can remove those who have clearly failed (by refusing!) to do so. Face the fact that not everyone with a connection to an old time local politician is entitled to a taxpayer funded job with benefits. Let businesses pay their fair share of taxes and pay their own advertising and event costs. Institute beach fees so that homeowners don't have to pay for day trippers or the guests of for-profit businesses to use our beaches for free. Stop funding free concerts (or limit the number) unless those who profit want to pay the bills. Stop letting people who don't live here vote here (regardless of what side they are on).

That desk is located at Recreation Center. The desk is being used by the Mayors latest political appointment. The Recreation Center is THE NEW CASH COW. Some one at the next Commissioners Meeting has to ask how many employees they have, let me spare you the expense 9 NINE that right NINE 9 and 4 FOUR more part-timers REMEMBER TO ASK what the Mayor’s Appointed Board is recommending for salary increases for these people.
I guess Troiano and Davenport's plan is to give everyone a job so that they won't sign the recall.. We guess again you be surprised who has signed and the number is now greater than 300. By spring there will be a new election and new elected officials. I hope your ready to lead Mayor Demarzo or you will be out in 2011.

I believe what is happening here is that the TAXPAYERS are finally being made aware of the REAL ISSUES, LIES AND DECEIT that has been going on in THEIR CITY! The taxpayers tried to believe in the Mayor but when all is said and done and taking a look at the current status of OUR CITY...........well, the RECALL IS LONG OVERDUE! Taxpayers were so busy trying to make ends meet and listened to what they thought was truth from City Hall only to find out it was all a front for what the Mayor was really up to.
I will mention here an example of back door matters that occurred in our City. People please look back to the Glenwood Avenue School expansion issue when they tried to purchase thru eminent domain the homes on NY avenue to put up a modular for the over abundance of students at the school. This matter was kept quiet by the school board and City Hall/Mayor & Commissioners with hopes of passing it QUICKLY. But thank goodness for some taxpayers who became involved and enlightened everyone as it was fought against and JUSTICE PREVAILED! The school board and City Hall lost in their efforts to slide this in and take a man's home!!!!
The facts are the facts, numbers and figures posted regarding our taxes over the last 10 years do not lie. They show clearly where we are, whom is responsible and what can be done to change this and turn Wildwood back into the town known for being the place families want to come and visit as well as to reside here. This is the way to make our city function at the level where everyone benefits by living here. This one way ticket that Troiano is exploiting and thrusting upon the taxpayers is a NO WHERE PLAN. Then you hear him and his cronies say if we don't like it we should move. We're not moving, we're not going to tolerate this current City Hall Administration and when all is said and done the RECALL will clearly demonstrate to these guys that they are out and to continue on with their own lives and leave Wildwood to be restored back to the place to be without all the nepotism, hushed business dealings, lies, deceit and overspending of unnecessary and unwarranted items, buildings, employment and salaries to name a few.
So Wingnut is not the term that should be used for us. What we are is intelligent, well informed taxpayers who are not going to take anymore from the current Mayor, Commissioner or associates/cronies. And the best part will be when they are shown the door to exit in City Hall, and I hope they take alot of the excess staffing with them.

Sandy Richardson what a joke, did you see the latest video on Google. www.videogoogle.com of the 02/18 Commissioners Meeting. She claims to have inside information about desk furniture and what Demarzo spent on his education. DeMarzo says he will have his MPA, that’s a Masters in Public Administration folks. What does Burt and Ernie have?
I am looking for some feed back on Sandy’s questions and Demarzo’s responses. We are TEN million in the hole and facing a 40 plus Cent TAX HIKE I hope that Mrs. Richardson’s has not pined the hopes of tax relief on the fact that Commissioner Demarzo purchased a computer monitor.

YEP, that is true I sat on the Board with Ernie Troiano, Jr. when he quit. He wasn’t getting his way and he left. The letter should be on file with the Wildwood School Board. Ernie also sat on the School Closure and Consolidation Study that is on file too. Check it out put a request in for the records with the School Board it will all verify.

Since you are small-minded and want to call me a wingnut, so be it. It only shows what kind of person YOU are. I admire Commissioner DeMarzo working for the taxpayers and citizens of Wildwood which is what he was elected to do. I don't believe Mayor Troiano was elected in 2007, voter fraud evidence seems to prove this fact. Commissioner DeMarzo under horrendous conditions putting up with the treatment he receives from Mayor Troiano and Commissioner Davenport is to be respected. He keeps his dignity and integrity in spite of their deceitful actions and their lawsuits against him for ridiculous reasons using taxpayer money. An administration that is afraid to have a video record of their meetings has something to hide. Commissioner DeMarzo listens to the taxpayers and does the right thing and let's the taxpayers know what is really going on which sometimes he has to do in the media since Troiano is all about (behind closed doors decision making because he knows the taxpayers would be upset). Before 2003, with Mayor Sloan, Wildwood was starting to improve. Then Mayor Troiano gets in office and appoints all his cronies on the Planning & Zoning Boards despite some not living in the municipality which is a requirement, and throws out outside studies that said only one host hotel should be built to accommodate the convention center, knocks down historic motels and diner, and decides 25 story condo-hotels are the way to go despite studies saying these are the worst real estate investments of all time and there are a slew of ongoing lawsuits in Las Vega and Miami because of these condo/hotels. So you who calls people "wingnuts" would be better off if you educated yourself and made informed comments instead of just berating people for their realistic and well-informed concerns about the state of their small town.

Dave, Dave Dave, what did you vote for? Looks like you have a problem with the truth. The numbers DO NOT lie your paying MORE and getting LESS under Troiano and Davenport then ever before in HISTORY. Sounds like your problem with DeMarzo is he is telling the TRUTH. Maybe if DeMarzo appointed you to the Planning Board or gave a CASH donation to YOUR organization you be a supporter.
Let us see who is in your circle. Who do you surround yourself with? You were SANDY RICHARDSON’S “Candidate for Commissioner”, campaign manager. UMMM the same Sandy Richardson that QUIT the school board because she could not handle the pressure. You know who else QUIT the School Board, ERNEST TROIANO, JR. (Your donator) He took his ball and left when the School Board saw through his BULL and LIES.
So let us review, DeMarzo did not appoint you, did not give you a CASH donation and refuses to QUIT. I can see why you dislike him.
Sign the RECALL, move the election up two years and STOP the LIES, family and friend discounts and CASH donations to interest groups.

LOOK THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS, HOW TO GOVERN A SMALL TOWN AND NOT PLAY POLITIC FAVORITES, AND WHO ATTENDS FUNCTIONS, ITS KNOWING HOW TO BE A MAYOR, IT'S OBVIOUS THERE IS NO DIRECTION WITH THIS CURRENT MAYOR, TO MANY POLITICAL TIES TO THE TOWN, TIME FOR CHANGE.

DAVE.......you brought out all the DeMarzo Wingnuts....all they do is post BS and spew hate on these public venues. DeMarzo calls Troiano a "spoiled brat"...DeMarzo's all that and a cry baby too! Wildwood has hit some tough times.....put DeMarzo and his band of WINGNUTS in charge and you'll never see things get turned around.

The Mayor is a cheat and a lier he is not to be trusted he can not handle money as per he act's like a spoiled brat and troughs temper tantrums when he does not get his way . He ruined Wildwood with over spending Mr.Wertman please get your facts correct and research back before the Troiano days when Wildwood was a busling place even in Winter I remember many taverns and resturaunts open back then with lower Tax's and less fees to operate. Troiano is no good to serve as a public offical and there fore should be RECALLED along with his puppet DAVENPORT he ripped the city off for the last 25 years as a paid fireman both of them violate state ETHICS and CONFLICT by being paid by FIRE DEPT. Mr. Davenport reseves a pension from the FIRE DEPT. and this is a conflict. Showing up for events is not what a CITY ELECTED offical should do all the time it is not the citys busieness to front events and for the mayor to get false plubisty . So sign the RECALL and let's get a fresh start.

Commissioners are getting a "bad rap"????????????????
No Dave, you got it wrong buddy...they are finally going to get what they deserve....to be out of public office. Obviously, you haven't taken a ride around this 1.3 mile area that we pay taxes for. Suggest that you get real with yourself and look further than the community events you are attending. Look at the city, it looks like a dump, downtown ghetto, back bay area is another disaster story x2, convention center flops, rec center in bad area of town where no senior citizens will go unless bus transportation is provided...the story goes on and on. But surely, if you have eyes to see, it won't take you long to see that our tax dollars are being pissed away.

yes the decorations are still up in Wildwood while the city workers ride around and ride around and stop to talk with other workers in trucks............yes the CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS are still up because Troiano thinks it is Christmas with our tax money and spends it like it was his on all his special interests!! Yes it is Christmas Charlie Brown!
The decorations are probably just another punishment to the taxpayers by the infamous city hall. Troiano will say the decorations are stilll up as he can't afford to pay workers to take them down. This is the fine work of City Hall and its workers. If they wait long enough they can leave them up for Christmas in July!

Really how much worse could the next mayor do. Take a look around at the city it is a dump. The streets are a mess the christmas decorations are still hanging on Pacific Avenue. All I can say is DeMarzo for Mayor.

No one says DeMarzo will be Mayor! But no one should have to put up with what Troiano is doing to this city either. No one could do any worse to the Taxpayers of Wildwood than Troiano has done. He has NO REMORSE for what he has done and just calls names like 'whining people' and he presents 'negative' agendas to 'shut people up'!
Speaking of watching DeMarzo on the camera............how bout the unprofessionalism of Troiano and Davenport and the show they put on. Is any of this scenerio 'PROFESSIONAL"? Really, let's be serious here. Prior to Troiano being Mayor we had Wager *** and demonstrated public displays of unprofessionalism at which time Troiano was a side show as well in his commissioner seat. Probably if there were videos of Wager/Troiano you would see the same antics you see with Troiano/DeMarzo. Wildwood has been the laughing stock of Cape May Co. for quite sometime now. But no one has taken us down this DIRTY ROAD like Troiano has! And if you ask questions you get untruths and if you cause disturbance to his plans you get retaliated against in one way or another.
The scare tatic about DeMarzo is just a ploy by Troiano supporters (if any) to try to keep Troiano in office. They don't get that taxpayers have had enough of his antics, lies and deceit. That the taxpayers are done with his name calling of us and his doing of things to "shut them up". THE TAXPAYERS OF WILDWOOD ARE DONE WITH THIS CURRENT CITY HALL ADMINISTRATION. TIME TO CLEAN UP CITY HALL AND CLEAN IT OUT!

Dave-glad that you can appreciate seeing Troaino pull $1000.00 out of his own pocket for a cause. Just remember he pulls out of ALL THE TAXPAYERS pockets for a cause too! The cause is because he doesn't know what he is doing and just is throwing shite against the wall to see what will stick at the expense of the taxpayers, cause he has his own ideals and agenda for this city at all costs to taxpayers, cause he just doesn't care about anyone except those who will go along with his plans. So we see his 'cause' and do not like what has been the outcome in our city and to the taxpayers.
NO MORE CHANCES ARE GOING TO BE GIVEN FOR HIS 'CAUSES'.
Troaino should try giving back to the taxpayers as his 'cause' has dramatically hurt the taxpayers here.
And now of course Troiano is stepping up his stride to try and save his 'seat'! Won't work this time! Why? CAUSE................................................... WE'VE HAD ENOUGH!!

DeMarzo as mayor is frightening. Every decision he is making in this town is to woo people to sign his petition. That's right, HIS petition against the mayor. He appears to care only about unseating the mayor and not about what would benefit this town. Whether it's the boardwalk or the high school he is a one-track pony: "What stand do I take to make the mayor look bad?"
His subtle behavior on the videos of the Commissioners meetings reminds me of a recalcitrant school child. He adds nothing to the discussion, and he plays around while important issues are being discussed. His immature behavior is that of a teenage boy in study hall.
He can't vote on half the measures brought before him. A mayor has to play a role in making decisions for a town. How can we have a mayor who has to abstain as much as he does?
Part of the Commissioners' job IS to be at town functions. But I guess when you only care about yourself, there is no need to reach out to the people of your town to give them your support.
It will be a sad day in Wildwood if we ever have to hear the words "Mayor Demarzo".

Ah ha moment.................So Sir, you were appointed to the Planning Board by Ernie Troiano! The picture becomes ever so clear now! Although you have the right to verbalize your comments and concerns so do (by your account and Troaino's) the Anti-Tax (as you call us---aka whiners) taxpayers. And Sir, apparently you are motivated to speak for reasons other than we are speaking. The difference is we are speaking the truth, truth sometimes hurts those who will be affected by it in a negative way. But what you all fail to understand is the truth will prevail and the RECALL petition will be met without a problem as the taxpayers have had enough of the UNTRUTHS that Troiano and company have dumped upon us the taxpayers of this town.
So one suggestion since you only have 9 years here, while attending those community functions is nice, try researching about what has been really happening in this town.
It is better to lead with eyes wide open than eyes half closed!!!

Dave, you really surprised me with this poorly researched letter. Here are some FACTS to think about. Since Troiano has become Mayor the Local Tax Levy has gone from $7,561,470.04 to $17,053,061.81 in six years. A $9,491,571.77 increase (126% ). No other community in the state has a 126% increase in the Local Tax Levy. The average national inflation rate for the same period is 3.1% a year. Wildwood's Local Tax Levy inflation rate is 7 times the national average.
Who do you think is responsible for the total heavy tax burden we have? Who votes for the municipal bonds and signs the union contracts? Troiano is in his 10th year in office, 6th year as Mayor. Wildwood’s financial problems are a direct result of his policies, his contracts, his bonding, his tax plan and his repeated poor judgment.
If you don't think commissioner DeMarzo has not given to the community, look at the police salary he gave up to become a commissioner. Then ask Troiano to match it each year.
Residents to strongly look at the FACTS and then sign petition, and not pay attention to the rhetoric of an uninformed person.
