The above definition makes no mention of religion.

Now regarding the Crusades if you did not read my earlier article let me state it again in simple terms for your leftist, jihadist loving, quisling mind.

These Crusaders were commanded and empowered by the Pope, to secure various land and sea routes through Cyprus, Syria, and parts of the Byzantine Empire. The Europeans put together several thousand troops that battled their way overland to Jerusalme and after several bloody battles and the siege of Jerusalem, finally evicted the muslim jihadists from the area of Israel. After securing the city, the Crusaders from England, France, Spain, and Germany worked their way out north, west to the sea, and south where they built various harbors, fortresses, and rest areas free from islamic control where Christian pilgrims traveling from Europe and Constantinople could safely come to Jerusalem without worry of being kidnapped or murdered by your so-called adherents of the religion of peace.

If you studied anything of that period you would see the Crusaders were firmly encamped ony in Jerusalem and the immediate environs that connected the main highways facing the Mediterranean Sea for the purpose of troop resupply and other reinforcements.
The Crusaders NEVER forced any muslims to convert or had any interest of converting muslims from islam.
The Pope himself he did not endorse any forced conversions but only wanted Jerusalme free from the muslims and permanent safe passage for Christian travelers that were being buthcered for several centuries.
If you knew anything, had any form of dignity, or read books on those times you would not be embarassing yourself here in public as you are doing today.
The Crusaders wanted to protect pilgrims and nothing else.
They did not want to capture or overrun Persia, Arabia, or Babylon.

Early in the 16th century Italian Scipione del Ferro solved the genreal cubic equation in terms of constants appearing in the equation.....the French philosopher and mathematician Rene Descarts looks much like modern algebra text...he discovered analytic geometry...

Background and justification to Amendment 28

Whereas Religion is defined as an institution dedicated to improving social conscience and promoting individual and societal spiritual growth in a way that is harmless to others not participating in or practicing the same;

Whereas the United States of America was founded on the ideals of individual rights, including the individual right to practice one’s religion of choice, or no religion, and that there would be no compulsion of religion, nor state sanctioned religion, nor a “religious test” for participation in the body politic;

Whereas Islam includes a complete political and social structure, encompassed by its religious law, Sharia, that supersedes any civil law and that Islam mandates that no secular or democratic institutions are to be superior to Islamic law;

Whereas Islam preaches that it and it alone is the true religion and that Islam will dominate the world and supplant all other religions and democratic institutions;

Whereas Saudi Arabia, the spiritual home of Islam does not permit the practice of any other religion on its soil and even “moderate” Muslims states such as Turkey and Malaysia actively suppress other religions;

Whereas Islam includes as its basic tenet the spread of the faith by any and all means necessary, including violent conquest of non-believers, and demands of its followers that they implement violent jihad (holy war) against those un-willing to convert or submit to Islam, including by deception and subversion of existing institutions;

Whereas on 9/11/2001 19 Muslim hijackers acting in the name of Islam killed 3,000 Americans, and numerous other acts of terrorism have been directed at the American people around the world;

Whereas representatives of Islam around the world including Osama Bin Laden (architect of 9/11), the government of Iran including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other Islamic groups have declared jihad (war) on America, and regularly declare that America should cease to exist;

Whereas there is no organized Islamic opposition to violent proponents of Islam;

Therefore: Islam is not a religion, but a political ideology more akin to Fascism and totally in opposition to the ideals of freedom as described in the United States Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights.

Be it resolved that the following Amendment to the Constitution be adopted:

Article I

The social/political/ideological system known around the world as Islam is not recognized in the United States as a religion.

The practice of Islam is therefore not protected under the 1st Amendment as to freedom of religion and speech.

Article II

As representatives of Islam around the world have declared war, and committed acts of war, against the United States and its democratic allies around the world, Islam is hereby declared an enemy of the United States and its practice within the United States is now prohibited.

Article III

Immediately upon passage of this Amendment all Mosques, schools and Muslim places of worship and religious training are to be closed, converted to other uses, or destroyed. Proceeds from sales of such properties may be distributed to congregations of said places but full disclosure of all proceeds shall be made to an appropriate agency as determined by Congress. No compensation is to be offered by Federal or State agencies for losses on such properties however Federal funding is to be available for the demolishing of said structures if other disposition cannot be made.

The preaching of Islam in Mosques, Schools, and other venues is prohibited. The subject of Islam may be taught in a post high school academic environment provided that instruction include discussion of Islam’s history of violence, conquest, and its ongoing war on democratic and other non-Islamic values.

The preaching or advocating of Islamic ideals of world domination, destruction of America and democratic institutions, jihad against Judaism, Christianity and other religions, and advocating the implementation of Sharia law shall in all cases be punishable by fines, imprisonment, deportation, and death as prescribed by Congress. Violent expressions of these and other Muslim goals, or the material support of those both in the United States and around the world who seek to advance these Islamic goals shall be punishable by death.

Muslims will be denied the opportunity to immigrate to the United States.

Article IV

Nothing in this amendment shall be construed as authorizing the discrimination against, of violence upon, nor repudiation of the individual rights of those Americans professing to be Muslim. The individual right of conscience is sacrosanct and the practice of Islam within the privacy of home and self is strictly protected to the extent that such individuals do not violate the prohibitions described in Article III.

As I see it there are two "types" of Muslims...those that wish to live among non Muslims in peace and respect other peoples right to their religious beliefs. Then there are the Muslim extremists...who believe theirs is the "right" religion and all others must be eliminated. The problem is the extremist Muslims don't run around with T-shirts proclaiming their hate toward non-Muslims; but they do live among the non radical Muslims. So it is up to those non radical Muslims how they want this to ulitmately play out, particularly in America. Either they completely reject those extremists, turn them in to the government, and do not enable them to continue their mission to kill the infidels and cause havoc OR they are in effect siding with them against the rest of America and the world. Many Muslim generals attacked india and ruled for hundreds of years but most of the population remained non muslim. On the other hand, not a single muslim soldier went to Indonesia(only traders visited on and off) but almost 100% people became muslim.

I am an ultra orthodox practicing muslim living in NJ. Amongst other things, that means that I deliver food packages to my needy neighbors during Thanksgiving. It means that whenever I shop at ShopRite, I donate to the New Jersey Hunger fund at the checkout. I try and be a model citizen: pay my taxes, obey the law, and so on. I do all this because my religion, Islam, instructs me to do so.

So I am utterly shocked when I hear the kind of comments from Mr. Hall. Shocked, and then scared by the amount of support his comments are getting from my fellow New Jerseyans. That such openly racist comments can be tolerated in the 21st century is an affront to the traditional, tolerant attitude that New Jersey has always had. His comments are more in keeping with the kinds of comments made by Third Reich politicians in 1930's Germany against another religious groups, Jews. And we all know what that led to.

It also has the four major collections of hadith which amplify and exemplify the Qur'an. www.quranbrowser.com displays a table of ten translations. You can compare them and discover that while the words vary, the meanings do not.

www.qtafsir.com has the text of Ibn Kathir's Tafsir and a search engine so that you can look up any topic or verse that has been explained in that volume.

For those lacking the time and ambition to read the Qur'an & hadith, I have compiled an ebook containing the most egregious of the verses and sayings, with relevant tafsir and links to their sources. You can find it by searching for EgregiousAyat.chm. It also includes a lengthy quotation from Book O, Chapter 9 of Reliance of the Traveller, which defines Jihad and the rules of conduct related to it. It says "The Caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians"..."fights all other people until they become Muslim". Religion of Pieces!

Although Mr. Hall may not be the most articulate critic of Islam--he is most certainly correct. Islam is out to conquer America. And, as an atheist, who has no dog in this "race," as it were, even I can see that the secular-humanist crowd is not up to the challenge of keeping these religious bigots not simply at bay, but keeping them out of the country entirely.

Friends? They are only friends to the American politicians who benefit from their bribes.

For an intelligent, insightful insider's view of Islam, one need only consult Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Note that the jihadists DO despise democracy, and perceive it as an affront to the sovereignty of God. Art Hall is correct.

The Quran preaches conquest by force of arms. Again, Hall is right on the money.

Finally, "law-making and self-government by human beings is blasphemous, an affront to the sovereignty of God." Once more, Hall gets it right.
