My name is Megan Faulkner... and I am the accused's fiance. Nobody seems to know or to care how badly this is affecting Chuck Hearon. It's all he thinks about... and he's so worried about jail time, because he's never really been into any major trouble, besides a few run-ins with the law, but nothing serious, and he's NEVER been to jail. It was on his mind all thru Christmas, and it's still on in his mind.... taunting him. He does not want to go to jail, especially for a crime he didn't commit... and because they charged him with robbery, he's looking at like 5 years jail time. If he has to end up going, how sad for his 4 children, and me... we need him in our lives. he is what makes this family work, and without him, we are soooo incomplete. I'm begging, and I mean literally begging for someone who was there to come forward.... PLEASE! We need you! My kids nor myself can live without this guy for more than a few days, especially since I don't work so I can stay home to take care of our very young children and I just wouldn't know how to handle it. So again, I beg you... if you were there, please come forward... it would mean soooooo much to us! You'll find Chucks e-mail address like 2 comments below.

I have known Chucky for a very long time as well as his fiance' Megan and they would never rob or steal from anyone if anything they would help anyone out. And Chuck works every day all day, and takes very godd care of all his children. Wish you guys the best! -Tiffany

My name is Charles Hearon.... I'm the one they arrested for the robbery at the West Cape May 7-11 on Sat. 12/6/08. I just finished reading your online article on the subject and it really upset me because I'm completely innocent and now my name is out there as a person who robs and assaults people. However, after reading the article, I scrolled down and read the comment that someone posted, claiming that they heard a totally different story by a person who actually witnessed the whole thing go down. You see, the police didn't question any witnesses that were in the store that night... and there were alot of people in there, as the W. Cape May parade was going on right outside at the time. In our discovery from the police, the only 2 people they questioned were the store owner, and one other employee of the store.... NO CUSTOMERS!!!! Anyone in there would've been able to tell them I was innocent and that man attacked me, practically out of nowhere, from behind, without even asking me if I had stole anything. The whole problem was that I had already been in the store about 20 mins earlier, and had purchased 2 cups of hot chocolate for my children and a Slim Jim snack stick. When I came back into the store, I had the slim jim in my back pocket.... so I guess that's what made him think I stole it. If he had just given me a chance to speak before grabbing me around my neck and choking me, he would've known that.... but since he didn't, he had to cover his actions by claiming that I had tried to rob him. I had the bruises, scratches, and some swelling around my neck to prove this.... but the police weren't interested in this.... nor did they take any pictures of it. So the whole night was ruined for my family, who had to watch me get hand-cuffed and put into a cop car.... as I was arrested on the scene immediately after the police arrived. I was then thrown in the county jail with a 15,000 dollar bail. I had to spend the night there.... which is something I've NEVER had to do before, and then I had to post 1,500 dollars to get out.... and this really hurt me because it is Christmas time, and I have 4 young children to provide for. Anyway... I'm sorry to be running on and on about this to you, but the reason I'm writing is to find out if there is anything at all you can do for me to try to find witnesses from that night. I know there are people out there who saw this.... and to me this is a big deal, this is my life and I'm facing jail time now. I've always been a decent, hard working guy from this community... and I'm just outraged that this has happened to me and my family.... especially at this time of year. So if there is anything you can do... which I know is probably far-fetched... please get back to me.

This story really is disgusting; there's absolutely NO truth to it. I know people who were there at the time of the incident....this poor man was accused by the manager of the 7-11, and not even in English! He started assaulting the poor man first, and then asked questions...once he remembered to use the right language! The CM police believe his BS story because all Cape May cares about is businesses to bring in that money, so they kiss up to business owners, no matter what their "highly professional police training" clues them into. I'm encouraging people to come forward...I only wish I was there, I would stand up for this wrongly accused man in a second! I know I will never go into the 7-11 again, and I'll never give a shoobie directions to get there either.
I hope this Mr. Hearon gets himself a lawyer and sues everyone!!!!!

I have known "THE ACCUSED" for several years. He is a hard working man All he does is take care of his children . I found hard to believe he would take his small children to see the parade and then go to the 7 eleven to rob it . This is a good story for ABC news John Stossel Give me a break
. I hope the system works and witnesses come forward to clear "THE ACCUSED .

Having known Mr Hearon for the last 10 years I find the story hard to believe myself.I cant imagine mr Hearon assaulting ANYONE.Much less robbery. I hope the matter is investigated further,

That's not what I heard. The store manager roughed this guy up as he confronted him and accused him of shoplifting. Hearon did not have any concealed merchandise. To cover his butt for banging the guy up the manager stated he had tried to rob the 7-11. This guy never even shoplifted in the store.

How disgusting. I hope the film in the store is being preserved. He probably erased it. This poor guy is innocent. If anything, he has a civil suit against this manager and the 7-11.
