STONE HARBOR -- Thanksgiving Weekend drew to a close with thoughts that turned to Christmas from Friday, Nov. 28 to Saturday, Nov. 29.

There were many activities for families to enjoy along 96th Street and adjacent business districts throughout the days.

But Saturday night was a time for singing Christmas carols and watching the parade that ushered in Santa and Mrs. Claus brought to town on a white horse-drawn carriage.

To the above poster, I don't know what you were expecting from little ol' Stone Harbor, but every single item listed on the chamber of commerce calender was present. We watched the pet parade, danced to the stringband, and took advantage of the free grub on Friday - saw Santa and watched the parade on Saturday. I think they did a great job, town was mobbed, and people were having a good time. Whatever you are looking for, I don't think a small town can provide.

We were there on Friday for the so called Christmas in Stone Harbor, there was nothing much going on as far as Christmas Festivities! It was a big waste of time.
