Being a new resident to the area, I appreciate your articles, but not exactly knowing the locations of the streets, where would I find a visual map of the parade route. I am looking forward to celebrating the holidays in a close community atmospher.

I think it's going to be nice and as result of anticipated participation, you will see the community come together. What ever background or what ever purpose a person may take his/her kids to the event, who cares? It's Christmas time. And I would suspect that Troiano will be there too. How that man can walk down the street and surround himself with members f the community, I will never know-BUT, I give him credit for promoting the event and wanting insure memories are made for the youngsters. I have my memories of Christmas' past, and some do involve community parades and parties. If you see Ernie and have enough compassion to spread joy and peace around, wish him a Merry Christmas. I for one would not want to be in his shoes, ever, not for one minute.

Jeez, some people will crank about anything! What does a recession have tio do with bringing the community together to celebrate the holidays? None of the entertainment costs much, if anything, as it comes right from the local community, and that's a great thing. Most of what little cost there is comes out of tourism fees paid by visitors, and the rest from the craft vendors. It's great that the people of the Wildwoods are developing a sense of community, despite the dwindling number of bitter, twisted cranks that complain about everything and contribute nothing.

Are they kidding me. The whole county is in a recession and we're spending all this money on a 2-day holiday event? Troiano has to be nuts. Why not go door to door and sing Christmas carols like in the old days. After all, there's only a few hundred winter residents in Wildwood as it is. Or have a bonfire on the beach and sing carols. Why pay money for Avalon String Band, Villas Kum Sun Martial Arts School, Magic Show, free movies, face painting and parades on the 5th and the 7th. This is a little over the top for a for four towns covering less than 5 square miles
