MIDDLETOWN — According to the Daily Times of Delaware County, Pa., two local teens were arrested on charges of stealing about $333 worth of merchandise from the Sears department store at the Granite Run Mall Nov. 22.
The report stated that about 5:25 p.m., Catherine Anne Dunbar, 18, of Villas, and Brittany Marie Grant, 18, of Cape May, were observed on video surveillance removing jewelry, belts and earrings from racks, state police reported.
They were seen leaving the store with the items without paying, Pa. State Trooper Joseph F. Yingling said. The items were recovered.

What can we expect from a young lady whose parents have allowed underage drinking parties at their house for as long as I can remember. Why would she have any sense of responsibility when her own parents don't use good judgment in raising her or teaching her right from wrong?

There should be public birth control classes in the Villas.

Hey Tue, 12/02/2008 - 6:54pm if you don't like the herald why do you spend all your time on the website posting comments? go to an AA meeting if you have so much free time!
Tue, 12/02/2008 - 10:02pm
I would have to proffer out, that the only reason this article appeared in the Herald, was to publicly embarrass a former elected official! And it is that precise mentality that truly makes the Herald a FIRST CLASS RAG!

the accident was her fault and she is irresponsible. and actually I do know for a fact that these girls are out at clubs. i do know what i am talking about with that one. in fact they have plans to go this friday if you want to question how much i know and who i know. if you are one of these girls parents trying to put me in my place or something, well then my suggestion is you check up on your kids because they are going out drinking and they are out doing drugs whether you choose to believe it or not. maybe if you would tend to your kids and teach them right from wrong they would not be in this predicament!

Hey 1:57 pm ,it's true , Mothers will defend their children no matter what they do. But the real shame of the story here is the Herald having to look out of state for news to print in it so called news paper. Without any half off early bird dinners specials to print ,something has to fill the space

I think it's funny that no one in Cape May County knows how to spell or speak correctly.

Tue, 12/02/2008 - 1:57pm
MAYBE EVERYONE SHOULD MIND THERE BUSINESS AND WORRY ABOUT WHAT THEIR OWN KIDS ARE DOING AND WHO THEY ARE HANGING OUT WITH. AND THIS IS FOR THE PERSON WHO MADE THE REMARK ABOUT THE 1 GIRL GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT..DOES THAT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT? NOO. AND YOU DONT KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THEY HAVE FAKE IDS AND GO TO CLUBS AND DRINK IN THE AREA. TAKE YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ***, YOUR RIDICULOUS, YOUR JUDGING WITHOUT KNOWING.
KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.
Tue, 12/02/2008 - 11:54am
1 of these girls was in an accident not long ago if I recall correctly. I know for a fact too that they both go out and drink at clubs in the area with fake IDs. But yeah "people make mistakes" you're right 12/01 @ 3:18pm. Maybe you need to be watching your daughter and the type of people she associates with more closely!!!

These girls are not "kids" they are both eighteen. Maybe someone should have done something when these girls were "kids". Then this story would not even be written.
Mon, 12/01/2008 - 10:15pm
Why did something that happened in PA get posted in this paper? Was it such a major offense to warrant this public story? This is a shame for each of the families!

Mon, 12/01/2008 - 3:18pm KIDS MAKE MISTAKES!!!!........
Yeah, over and over and over and over and over and over again, When will they learn?
Mon, 12/01/2008 - 3:28pm
It is truely a sad day when people have nothing better to do then to sit and write into this paper, blasting others. What is the difference where these kids live. who cares who they are or are not related to. The proper thing to do with these kids, is to establish a probation program for each, that involves community service. I.E. Make each child go into the schools and explain how embarrasing it is to their familes and friends that they are theifs. Maybe then they will think twice about putting something into their pockets without paying.WHAT'S THE PROBLEM !!
Mon, 12/01/2008 - 3:18pm
My daughter is one of the girls that you all are posting comments about.
People make mistakes and live goes on do any of you know the real story or even what happend? JUST because you read article and get the outline of the story does not mean you can sit her post these rude and uncalled for comments. Take a secound and think how many of you liked to be judged...none of you im guessing. KIDS MAKE MISTAKES!!!!........

Let's see...the girl from Villas forced the girl from Cape May to be her accomplice, and taught her all there was to know about shoplifting because, we all know that no one from Cape May has any idea of how to steal on their own. Get a life!
Sat, 11/29/2008 - 9:34pm
It doesn't matter where you are from if your a thief your a thief. Probably once again a resident from one of the other so-perfect Cape May County communities commenting about Villas-- Grow up and keep immature comments to yourself. Also look around at your own skeletons in your family I'm sure there a few. From A very proud resident of Villas.

Typical behavior of a Villas resident. These girls ought to do some community service hours, or maybe some jail time. Looks like they will be getting coal in their stockings this year for Christmas, since they are now on Santas naughty list.
