ERMA — A drug interdiction operation was conducted in Villas by Lower Township police on Nov. 26 at 3:30 p.m. Two men were arrested who were allegedly in the process of delivering heroin.
The first, Richard Irons, 25, of the first block Maryland Avenue, Villas, was under surveillance when he arrived at a residence in the 200 block of Vermont Avenue, Villas.
Shortly afterward, Irons was seen by Detective Chris Lambert approaching him and discarded nearly 90 bags of heroin in a vehicle he had been using.
Lambert observed that action, and the heroin was recovered.
The second person, Rodney Frazier, 59, of the first block of Breakwater Place, North Cape May was allegedly found to be in possession of 10 bags of heroin.
Irons and Frazier were arrested at the scene and taken to Lower Township police headquarters for processing.
Municipal Court Judge Louis Belasco set bail at $35,000 for Irons, who was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. He was remanded to county jail in lieu of bail.
Frazier was charged on a summons with possession of heroin.
Detectives Chris Lambert, Edward Dougherty and Mel Hedum investigated the case.

How ever the scum bag was arrested it was great!!! If the police used a snitch GREAT, the bottem line is two more stupid drug dealers are back home in the county jail. I just wonder how the other drug dealers feel knowing their time is coming for them to end up in jail. Another great job LTPD can't wait to hear who is arrested next!!!!!!!

Whoever the people were who informed the police of this drug deal, thank you. We need more people to get involved and let the police know where these deals are going down.

Snitches are considered the lowest on the Ghetto food chain. In civilized areas it is the drug dealers, thieves and drug users that are considered the LOWEST.Informing the police of illegal activity is the chosen action of civilized HUMANS,who want a safe environment for themselves and their children. This Area will not become a Ghetto.

These people all snitch on each other, then they get put on drug court together, or sit in the county together. They are all related in one way or another. The township should put one giant dumpster in the middle of the Villas and load it up with all the trash.

I love reading how these scum alway's try and sell their drugs in Lower Twp. and the police continuously catch them and they all end up in jail. It's great to see Lower Twp. has a police department which is so pro-active, a chief who wants these drug dealers taken down. I don't live in Lower and I can only say every place has their problem with drugs, it's just great to alway's read how another drug dealer is arrested. Another great job Lower Police.
