i dont get why yall pulled the guy into it that the supposibly hired.... but i know him and granted he was dealin with a bunch of *** in his life at the time and he made some stupid mistakes and got removed from the company.... but he was never fired he quit cause he got tired of play firemen and realized that the job was a joke...... so lay of the kid hes really not that bad of a guy hes a great father to his son and hes really turned himself around since he got away from all the drama of this county...... But i will say great job on the fire he showed me video of it that he took on the scene... KODOS....

That's what all the hubbub is about the actors are now playing firemen in the nut house!

Fri, 11/28/2008 - 8:53pm

Sounds like it is time to hire some real Firefighters and get rid of the blabber mouths whiners. The comments for this article started out as a job well done to all involved and ended up as cut throats stabbing each other in the backs. I wonder how you are able to work together during an emergency when you act this way after the call. Time to grow up children, it’s the real deal out there and it takes real Firefighters to get the job done, not actors.

Hey Wackers, remember the only other so called "educated" member from erma that you got a job at Ancora? If he was that good why did you fire him? He must not of been smart enough. The two of you are a joke and will always be! Get over yourselves. I'm not a fireman but I play one at work.

Sun, 11/23/2008 - 5:35pm

I am a former member of 62 and from reading all of the comments it looks like you guys finally cut the cord. All i can say is congradulations and i wish i was still living down there. Good to see everyone is working together. God Bless

Fri, 11/21/2008 - 7:01pm

Blah! Blah! Blah! N0 matter what the former nobody says the job is getting done. All three township fire depts. are working together. It was a big morale boost for Erma to drop the know it all trouble makers. It is nice to know these *** won't be on the fire scene's anymore. I hear the membership increased dramaticly since the desicion. I am glad to see someone finally grew a set and ousted the WACKERS!! Job well done Erma,Town Bank and Villas Fire.

Look's the educated people at the top are smarter than you. Their the ones that put the all call to work. Maybe, just maybe you might be the one that is uneducated. Not for nothing but there is more than one reason why you are on the outside looking in. Way to go Erma Fire!!

Thu, 11/20/2008 - 9:34pm

Umm this story was about a house on fire right ?

Thu, 11/20/2008 - 9:20pm

I've been Chief, Asst Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Engineer, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Trustee and Fire Commissioner. I have 100 years experience with 20 years of service. I've forgotten more than you'll ever know. I have enough certificates to wallpaper everyroom in my house twice! I am well known throughout the county fire service. last but not least ..... I deserve RESPECT.... Who am I ?????????????

Thu, 11/20/2008 - 3:30pm

to 12:05am It sounds like you are the kind of person that needs a constant "atta boy" either that or you are jealous of Chief Muller and his accomplishments as Chief. From all the articles I've read in the papers and interviews I've seen on TV, he seems like a really level-headed guy and an asset to our community. I for one am very grateful for what he and all the firefighters from his company do on a daily basis.....Perhaps I am totally wrong on all accounts and your are just an ***

Thu, 11/20/2008 - 11:46am

To ewew & ahah
If one of you clowns were chief in the 90's and you did not institute this program does that make you one of the oig headed ***? Think about it?. And to the other one maybe you should try bullying other members besides the 60yr old + guy. You should have offered to take one of the young guys outside. I wonder why you didn't? Well you have landed in the right environment, amongst equal company. Congrats to the Erma Vol. Fire CO. for finnaly after almost 20yrs of your BS for send you packing.

11/19 8:47 am I wanted to put something in here but you took the words right out of my mouth. Well said!!!!!!!!!

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 7:04pm

To the former Chief. I have been a member of this co. for over 20 yrs. and the current staff of officers is the best we have had. With the exception of Mr. L#^@r the 90's were a joke. Maybe it was talked about in the 90's but these guy's actualy put it to work instead of talking about it. It doesn't take a genuis to figure out who are. So anyway the nut house needs you more than we do!!!!!!!

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 5:35pm

Hey guys, As a brother Lower Twp Fireman, Ease up on the comments of a certain past chief and member. They'll sue you for hurting thier feelings / slander. Even their wives don't want them.

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 10:37am

To **** & ****:
The township is greatful for the time and effort every firefighter puts in, including the leaders of all 3 stations. Men and women put in many hours a week responding to calls, and training. If the public wants opinions they should ask ANY member of the three fire departments in the township or any of the people that needed the service. The fire departments are always there for the community.

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 8:53am

to the wed 1205 am comment first everyone can type whatever they want here but I dont care what it took to do this if it was done 20 years ago or just started it works and it offers the best protection to the public.

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 8:47am

To the so called "self proclaimed" past chief of Erma Fd. I didnt realize that holding that position for a couple of weeks before being removed NOT ONLY FROM THE POSITION OF CHIEF BUT FROM THE COMPANY ENTIRLEY (for being such a fine educated leader) earns you the right of calling yourself a "past chief". Secondly, I guess that all the fire departments in South Jersey are not doing thier job correctly because they dont have two identical "tone activated idiots" running around spreading thier wealth of knowledge on the fire scene. Its a good thing that mental institutions have a day care programs where you can dress up and play fireman all day. Truth be told, Erma fire has never had it so smoothly with these two foul balls gone. Good Ridddons. Hey, heres an idea, next time the is a working fire why dont you show up so we can collect all your tears and supply the truck with a endless water supply. Lastly, take off your uniform, your shift ended twelve hours ago.........Oh i guess that you didnt learn that in the last hundred years in the fire service. Wonder why we couldnt have a job less that an hour and a half from home, maybe our reputation with everyone in the county predeceeds us.....hmmm Oh thats right everyone else is wrong.......

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 8:10am

To "Wed, 11/19/2008 - 12:05am" another educated person from Lower Township, no punctuation and capital letters for each word. You must be one of those educated people that we should move to the top. Wonder why you are a former chief......

Wed, 11/19/2008 - 12:05am

I Am A Former Chief Of ERMA Years Past This Is Not New We Were Working On This In The 1990s It Just Took These Pig Headed Idiots This Long To Finally Try It Some 10/12 yrs Later. As Far As Mr Muller Goes Well He's Not All U Make Him Out To Be Its Time For A Change Starting With Him & Then Moving Right On Down The List And Get Some Educated Peaple At The Top!

Mon, 11/17/2008 - 11:08pm

11/16 9:19 pm I was just sitting here reading all the praise for the volunteers and came across yours. If PA is so great why are you here? We always have to hear about how someone from PA say, it's so much better there. We put together this agreement after many years of discussion and it is working great. Maybe we are catching up to the times and yes it takes team work to get the job done. But one thing is for sure this not PA and i hope it never becomes like PA. "GREAT COMMANDERS" what a smuck!!!!!!

Mon, 11/17/2008 - 5:44pm

11/16 9:19-
take your ignorant simple mind back to PA where you apparently do everything better. someone congratualtes the heads (aka spokesmen) of different departments for bringing some sense to the area that had been lacking, and you freak out because it didnt go far enough? well, here to make you happy....everybody say thank you to everybody. that way, no ones feelings will be hurt. so beware posters, if you only make one good point, you may be chastized for not making two, or three, or however many pats on the back the disgruntled transplant has-been from Nowhere, USA thinks should go around. by the way, good job from the very bottom to the very top, i was there, you ALL did a great job.

Mon, 11/17/2008 - 12:13pm

to all those people whining and complaining about our fire departments having too much equipment on scene of a structure fire get over it. its the way it should be for mutual aid calls if your house was burning down to the ground you would greatly appreciate having all the fire equipment working hard to save your house. i'm proud to be a volunteer in Erma and darn proud all 3 companies working together

Sun, 11/16/2008 - 9:37pm

I don't understand,I thought the joint fire resonse was working out well. Why would someone complain about there being too much equipment, thats insane.

Sun, 11/16/2008 - 9:19pm

11/15/ - 2:51 ,
commend those three? shake thier hands ?
So they do it all by themselves huh ? all the firefighters and officers beneath the Chiefs don't provide protection ?
They may have planned it out but i'm sure not without the input of thier crews and officers. It takes teamwork to make things work. I guess it went like this, If WE have a house fire call, You send this, And you send this. And If YOU have a house fire, We will send this. and this. Yep Great plan. I can't wait to see these three "GREAT COMMANDERS" and shake thier hands. ohhh and maybe perhaps just throw myself at the mercy of the great minds. Please mutual aide agreements have been around for along time. It's just that these people are finally catching up with the times. The fire Co.
I served with in PA. were doing this years ago.

Sun, 11/16/2008 - 5:56pm

HELLO!! To much too fast!

Sun, 11/16/2008 - 12:15pm

I don't get it. What shot was taken?

Sun, 11/16/2008 - 10:46am

How is that a shot? And maybe more importantly, who is it directed at?

Sat, 11/15/2008 - 4:46pm

Oh Boy!! If that isn't a shot!

Sat, 11/15/2008 - 2:51pm

The residents of Lower should commend Chief Muller, Chief Hilvert & Chief Treon for coming together and making the response work. When you see the three gentleman in public you should shake there hand and thank them for the protection in which they provide. Other areas have tried, but they have not had the sucess. You can never have too much equipment fast enough when life saftey and property conservation are at stake. I hope other areas can learn from Lower.

Sat, 11/15/2008 - 11:30am

Once again, GREAT job Townbank, Erma, Villas, and Cape May City for the quick response. People of the township should be proud of their fire companies and their personnel. Job Well Done!!!

Sat, 11/15/2008 - 9:11am

How is that a code enforcement problem? Isn't that the health department department?

Fri, 11/14/2008 - 7:25pm

yet another fine yob by all departments involved. keep up the good work lower/cape may

Fri, 11/14/2008 - 6:22pm

Hopefully Lower Township code enforcement will not permit this burned out hulk to sit and fester as long as the ("Guma Pies"!) house on Breakwater.
