CLERMONT — Michael J. Donohue, Cape May County McCain Chairman and Dennis Township Republican leader, invites everyone to attend a Thursday, Oct. 2 rally from 5 to 6:30 p.m.to show support for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican vice presidential nominee, prior to the historic vice presidential debate to be held later that evening.

The event will be held at Dennis Township Republican headquarters, Route 9 just south of Route 83.

“In light of the unfair bashing Gov. Palin has taken in the mainstream media since our next president, Sen. John McCain, had the courage and foresight to choose her as his running mate, I thought it was extremely important to invite my fellow Cape May County residents to show support for this courageous and capable woman,” Donohue stated in a release. “Together, McCain and Palin will fight institutionalized corruption in Washington, D.C., and rein in out-of-control spending.”

The event is open to all who want to show support for Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin, Donohue said.

Cape May County Students for McCain are volunteering their time to help spearhead the rally.

“Come on out and show the mainstream media you don’t march to its beat,” Donohue stated.

There will be balloons, hot dogs, T-shirts and lawn signs.

For information, e-mail Donohue@dtgop.com or call 609-861-4467.

The rally was great. It was nice to see republicans, democrats, and independents, come together to support McCain and Palin.

Imagine if it was trendy to like President Bush. Would all of the silverspoon sucking Hollywood wannabes that had everything handed to them support a REAL leader? Or would they continue supporting some guy who hasn't accomplished anything in life other than a few good speeches (that lacked any real content, I might add). This Obama presense makes me ill. How a person of his low charecter and arrogance can be held in such high regard just shows how truly dumb people can be. Like sheep, you're all being led away by mass media personalities in high def.

During Oprah Winfrey's trip to Cape May, in particular Whitesboro, I have heard that she promised whitesboro a 1 million dollar grant if the residents vote for obama.she supposedly is describing this bribe as a scholarship. I was wondering if this was true or if anyone else had heard this. Obama will not be good for this country. he believes in black liberation theology. Read his book and do research for yourself. Do not belive the media becuase it is the media.

A vote for Obama is a vote for Rezko, Alynsky, Wright, Pfleger, ACORN, dirty Chicago politics and deals with Freddie and Fannie.

Do you really think the founders intended for Obamamaniacs to procure votes on college campuses with absentee ballots? Do you want a person for president who doesn't respect our most important right and responsiblity?

I would like the opportunity to vote for Palin for President.

I'm sorry but McCain is old and will probably die in the next year or two. Tina Fey is not ready to be president no matter how good she can see Russia from her front porch. With the embarrassment we've had in the White House for 8 years, it's time we voted for an intelligent, articulate representative for our country. Not the cantankerous old war mongering coot. Vote Obama.

Democrats aren't scared of strong women. And they didn't attack Hillary Clinton. The Democrats simply chose their nominee the same way it's always doen. Sen. Clinton would have been a fine choice, she is a remarkable leader. But the time has come for someone unassociated with the last 30 years of Washington politics to have a chance.
And by the way, Sen. Clinton was hated and vilified by Republicans until just a few months ago. I hope some of you remember all the hateful nonsense Republicans spread about her through the 90s.
Gov. Palin just has no place on the national stage. Give me a break.

Don't be so sure about that - you probably thought Kerry and Gore would win too. Obviously the rest of the country doesn't agree.

You may be right. And the powerful radical Left influence in the media, the entertainment industry, and the colleges/universities has a lot to do with it. They have done a disservice to all of us. They have bypassed reporting Obama's radical left connections and pro-Communist upbringing. They refuse to acknowledge Biden's gaffes, errors in judgement. and his excessive spending requests. Obama has never disagreed with his party ... thats why he waits to make any decisions. He has to find out where Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid stand. The approval rating for Congress is at 12% and Obama wants to follow their lead ? Obama is not their leader, they are his. He is nothing but a great actor who can absorb all of his advisors' propaganda and sell it to the majority. He has almost fulfilled the radical dreams of both of his parents that someday their beliefs would rule America.

ATTENTION REPUBLICANS:
RE: SARAH PALIN

Obviously there has been a HUGE mistake…..

Palin’s Dribble, Weasel Wording, Mush-Mush, ***-Backwards speak Cleary demonstrates who carries the *** trait in her family, because of this we (the democrats) will allow you to send her back to *** without prejudice and select another candidate.

For this consideration the Republicans agree to sell Alaska to Russia (with Palin) and never mention the State of Alaska or her again.

The Democrats

Mrs. Palin is the best thing that ever happened to politics. Dems and some Reps, I know you guys are scared. She has no problem of axing corrupt and crook politicians.

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 11:41pm

The Democrats are scared of strong women, first they attack Hillary Clinton and now Sarah Palin,New Jersey will not be better off with Obama.

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 7:47pm

More women like her than not.

You seem to imply that Obama will win. Well, Palin has more experience and she didn't have her home subsidized by Rezko and her campaign by Freddie and Fannie.

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 6:44pm

I agree 3:03 pm! When in doubt, notice how they blame the mainstream media...when there is no message to give and your candidate makes an absolute fool of herself on national tv new interview (CBS w/Katie Couric) - blame the media. As a woman, she is against everything I stand for and she is an embarassment to all womenhood. No person in their right mind with the financial fiasco the Republicans have put this nation in should vote for McCain/Palin. BTW, President Eisenhower once stated that "no one over the age of 70 should be president and I should know!" McCain is a hypocrite, worth 200 mil, owns 7 homes and 13 cars...time for him to retire and take that moose loving troglodyte with him!

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 4:13pm

THANK GOD THAT IS ONLY YOUR OPINION BECAUSE PALIN HAS MORE BRAINS THAN ABAMA WILL EVER HAVE AND SHE HAS DONE SO MUCH MORE AS A GOVENOR THAN HE WOULD EVER THINK ABOUT BEING A SENATOR

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 3:03pm
