VILLAS — During a motor vehicle stop Thursday, Sept. 25 at about 5 p.m. on Warwick Road here, Lower Township police seized 100 80-mg of oxycotin, over 200 percocets and a small amount of marijuana.
It was estimated that the street value of the oxycotin was in excess of $8,000 and the value of percocet was approximately $4,000.
Officer Jennifer Anzelone received information earlier in the day regarding the purchase of illegal prescription medication, which was to be delivered to an unnamed subject. That information was relayed to the Detective Division.
Detectives Chris Lambert and Joe Boyle conducted a motor vehicle stop with assistance of Anzelone and Officer Dallas Bohn.
The vehicle’s driver, Paul Reynolds of North Cape May was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II narcotics, possession with the intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana.
Bail was set by Judge David DeWeese at $15,000 full cash, no 10 percent.
Reynolds was remanded to county jail.

Nice Drug Bust Detectives!

Illegally obtained prescription drug abuse by teens and young adults has been on the rise in recent years. School administrators, teachers, and PD - keep an eye on the middle and high school. The students who are using could be your link to the bigger fish. Parents, guardians and caregivers - secure prescription bottles where no one unauthorized to handle them can get to them and properly dispose of prescription drugs no longer being used. FYI - Not a problem unique to Lower Township. Keep an eye on the Bay bulkhead and nearby streets in Villas. Great job, LTPD - stay safe!!

I heard this guy has been the one coming to the shore for awile to sell prescription drug's to our residents, these prescription bills are real bad, alot of money and can really mess a person up. And the worse is our young people are the one's buying most of these pills. Again another good job, and another drug dealer believing they can sell here in Lower Twp. now in the county jail.

this is what happens when small time drug offences like four-kids smoking weed in a parked car are made to be a major drug bust in this community. for too long cops waste there time with nickle and dime drug dealers and let the big fish populate the river. pain pills are becoming the new "it" drug and steps need to be taken. don't overcrowd our jails with potheads, instead get rid of this neo-drug movment.
