To The Editor: Wildwood, North Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest share the same ocean, bay, and beach. So why does North Wildwood and the Crest sell millions of dollars more in real estate every week than Wildwood? Maybe it's because Wildwood charges more to live here for the same services. Wildwood is in competition with every shore town to attract quality residents and taxpayers. This town can't rely on one-time property sales to solve its budget problems. We have done this before and our taxes are higher than ever. This is one of the reasons Wildwood’s bond rating has been lowered. High rises and one-time property sales may not solve our budget problems. We need to cut the budget now through consolidation of services and reduction of spending. Taxpayers should not be expected to pay more taxes every year just because this town won't cut its budget. ROBERT ANGELINE Wildwood/Conshohocken, Pa.

If you own a buisness in Wildwood, and you live outside of Wildwood, can you vote in an election using your buisness address? is that legal?because its happening. i think this is called " VOTER FRAUD ".and why hasn't the board of elections checked into it? check Identifications.it's there.

The taxpayers of the City of Wildwood are not in the welfare business. It's downright criminal that Davenport and Troiano create unneeded full-time jobs so they can hire their family members, and relatives. Nepotism is illegal. These guys should go to jail for the financial hole they have dug us into.

Consolidation. Wake up people! North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and West Wildwood (sorry can't say West Wildwood) they are just as curupt as Wildwood want nothing to do with Wildwood. Those towns are run with not nearly as many problems as Wildwood.
Oh, and to 9/13/08 1:03pm-You must not know any of the employees with the same last. Or would know that each of them were hired for there own capabilities. And they have families. Lets see you support a family without a paycheck!

All Cape May County towns should cut their full time workforce by the percentage of population loss as reported by the census department. Less year around population should require less year round full time employee services. All the towns should be moving more to beefing up the seasonal employee positions and reducing the FT positions. The residents should be demanding this and consolidation of services with other towns. All 4 of the Wildwoods should consolidate into 1 town.

What if anything can be done?? They insult your intelligence when you attend commission meetings to voice concerns.

It's all about putting their families and relatives to work. There's no way a seasonal town can support these full-time jobs. Nepotism is illegal. Ernie hires his two sons as full-time fireman to an already overstaffed fire department in Wildwood. A paid professional study said in 2002 that the North Wildwood and Wildwood fire departments should be combined to which Ernie responded the study was "Bogus". Look at the names on the Wildwood employees list, most are related.

Wildwood's version of a six pack is "six guys on a trash truck. The driver ,passenger, and believe it 4 on the back of the truck.Ernie ought to check out the leisure lounge at the end of Garfield ave, members only. G ive us a break, you know it , and we know it . and every township around us knows it,we have to many employees , that drive around doing nothing" and they know it,Cut to the marrow, not the bone , i know the emploees have to make a living , but not at the tax payers expense.Oh thats right, you would be laying off a vote, sorry.

Just remember, thoses of you who are screaming bloody murder for lay-offs here in our towns--We all have families to support, bills to pay & we also are trying hard to keep our heads above the harsh waters of life. So think about that when you are on your path of life distruction. Punish not the workers, but the officials that just can't get their act toghether and run cities without running them into the ground!

each of the three towns have way too many employees. North Wildwood is famous for making part time summer positions into full time year reound positions...just because of a vote.

How about a reduction in work force. I saw 3 men not including a driver handling a trash truck. why are there 3 guys on the back of a trash truck when in my town there are two, one driver and one guy that picks up the trash, and is he needs help, the driver helps out. Why should the burden be shifted on the tax payers of the other two towns who run their governments better? Wildwood needs a reroute of their own government, fix it from inside out then consilate.
