VILLAS — Lower Township police responded to 325 Desoto Avenue after receiving two 911 calls from the residence.

Crime is everywhere, no matter where you live. Yes, a lot of bad things happen in the Villas, but it really isn't any different anywhere else. I would really like to know if the son was caught too. The whole story is sad. Actually, uncalled for. I mean, I heard of two men fighting before but when your mother gets involved is outrageous!

They'll catch the son soon. I'm sure he cant get very far once they let the air out of the tires on their house.

Does anyone know if they caught the son yet? This is such a pathetic story. It's one thing to raise your children the best you can, then they take a wrong path, but to be in on the crime with your son is unbelievable.

I guess all of the posters must feel pretty ridiculous about their ignorant comments about the Villas, and going back to Kensington; considering that a North Cape May man locked himself up in his house and threatened to kill his family and the police officers who responded. A whole block of nice, upstanding NCM neighbors had to be evacuated from their homes because of it.

Kensington by the Sea rears its ugly head again. Why do we constantly hear these stories from the Villas? Can the Herald do a crime stat? What is the percentage of crime per capita compared to other local communities? Some of you need to act like humans and get a job!

Go back to Kensington.....all of these people....go back to where behavior like this is supplemented....why would the victim be questioned? so stupid....

Regardless of why it happened, there is NO REASON a 54-year-old "mother" and a 31-year old man would do such a thing to him. I mean, for a "mother" to hold him down while her grown son punched and robbed him is disgusting! Can anyone say, JAIL TIME! I hope so!

I live in the community in question, and I'm concerned about what goes on in my community. There is a certain group of people that exist that no one wants to mention.
I didn't know a 800 pound gorilla moved into Cape May county

Why was my comment from yesterday never posted
(ED. NOTE: Because it degraded everyone who lives in the community. There are good people who live in every community. Your comment was discarded for that reason.)
