OCEAN CITY — On Sept. 6, Patrolman Dave Hall was conducting surveillance of a property under construction in the 300 Block of West Avenue.

Ocean City police had received information that persons were trespassing on the property and possibly engaging in the use of illegal drugs.

At approximately 8 p.m., two subjects entered the building and began to light a pipe within a few feet of where Hall was positioned. Hall was able to determine that the lit pipe contained suspected marijuana from the odor. Hall announced his presence and placed the two subjects under arrest.

Judge Richard Russell issued an arrest warrant in the amount of $500 full cash bail on both persons arrested; Miguel Juarez-Rivera, 23, and Alfonso M. Maximiano, 25, both of Ocean City.

They were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
