COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Federation of Democratic Women will hold a special meeting for Cape May County Democratic candidates seeking political office on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Samuel Devico Senior Center, 23 Romney Place (Magnolia and Romney Pace).
According to Virginia C. Hesel, president, Cape May County Federation of Democratic Women, the event “has become an annual event to present each Democratic candidate with a donation, monies which Federation members raise specifically for this purpose. This year’s Spring Tea and Victorian Fashion Show at the Abby Holmes Estate enabled us to raise funds to present to this year’s candidates.”
All of the party’s 2008 candidates are invited. The group has allocated time on its agenda for candidate introductions.
Since this is a general election year, we will also present a campaign donation to Sen. Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign. The field organizer assigned to our Congressional district for Campaign Obama New Jersey will attend to accept the donation and to address the Federation as guest speaker.
Candidates planning to attend were asked to respond by Sept. 9.

Is it appropriate to use the Senior Center for partisan politics? What are they charged to use our facility?
