This student had 18 hours in type and was ground shy. He should not have been signed off for solo yet. He wasnt ready.

A friend of mine who is a flight instructor flew with this student in the past. He mentioned to me that the guy is a doctor who showed some arrogance and attitude during the brief training he provided.
Some career successful people show a lack of respect for the needed professionalism required to be a competent pilot. Yes, being a Doctor or Lawyer requires hard work and dedication, but so does flying. The difference is, pilots don’t always get a second chance. This guy is just lucky he walked away.

Glad to hear that the pilot walked away unharmed. A testament to the crashworthiness of the airplane.
