I was at the block party at Fox Park over the weekend. There were at least 1 police car inside the park and officers patrolling the grounds all day. For some reason, they failed to see the "Coach", "Kate Spade" and "Victoria's Secret" items that were for sale - about 20 feet from the DWI police car stationed at the front of the park. Guess they were just watching for potential drunks at the wine tasting booth. I also noticed all of the metered spots around the park were taken by vendors. They were not feeding the meters either - they had signs on their dashboards which I guess exempted them from obeying parking regs. Hey, Wildwood, if you're going to allow people to sell counterfit products, at least make them park at the convention center and pay for a spot like everyone else. Open up the meters for people who may actually want to visit the park. Wait - I'm proposing common sense for Wildwood. What am I thinking?!?

It doesn't matter what sex, religion, color, ethnicity, name, etc of these people that got busted. Bottom line is that they broke the law selling fake designer items and useless junk to people. I have no sympathy for anyone of them or anyone else that sells that junk, they broke the law and they have to deal with the outcome. They chose to sell the c.rap and take the easy sleazy route to make money by ripping people off. If I were the lead detective I'd also check out if they were laundering money with that amount of cash laying around in their stores, remind you most of those stores take CASH ONLY and see who else gets snagged.

Also the people that bought those items weren't too smart either in my opinion.

I did notice that only 2 of the companies listed are higher-end stuff. Everyone knows how much the stuff NORMALLY goes for, and then they go there and find it for 1/10th of the price, its kind of obvious its fake. But when it comes to a John Deere, or Jack Daniels t-shirt, people aren't going to notice the difference, the shirts normally dont cost more than 10 bucks, and they probably go for about the same at these stores.

Reading what all these people wrote is making me sick! I am an American, born and raised in Cape May County as a matter of fact. I own three stores on the boardwalk and I know three of the people who were arrested. I cant belive how you people are responding to this. These men are honest and hard working. Everyone knows that they are purchasing fake items. They are selling what the consumer wants!!! As for the people crying that they work just as hard as the people on the boardwalk, ha thats a joke. No Americans work on the boardwalk because it is such a tuff job. As for the people talking about them working with no permits. Look at some of the local hotels and condos down the street from your house. Oh and look who building it, those people are the ones here illegally! Wildwood cops treating them unfairly when they were picked up most were held over 12hrs. They have wives and babys at home. This town is crooked. Its all about your race and who you know! Last week the owner of *** restaurant almost ran someone over. He actually backed his car up and attempted to hit someone. The cops responded and he drove off even with our wittness statements. I belive attempted man slaughter is a litte more serious then what happened here but he wasnt arrested nor was his name printed in the paper. This town is a JOKE!!!

You say they are "All Jews" but one who is "Indian"............okay, well were they born in this country or did they just come here to make money off of us? Do they abide by the laws and rules of our country or take advantage of us? Are they respectful of us or do they speak in their languages right in front of us? When in America you should speak English. You should be respectful enough to live the AMERICAN WAY!! If not you should go back to your country. The Jewish people that you are referring to are totally different than the boardwalk shop owners. They speak English and conduct themselves as Americans and do not call us 'SPOILED AMERICANS'. The boardwalk Jewish shop owners speak their language and also speak english but only when they have to make a sale with the Americans. They use the "I don't understand english" to their advantage which is totally ignorant on their part. They should take their business to another location other than Wildwood. Time to go, they have run their course here. They have shops in the front of their stores and then sell other stuff in the backs of their shops. Check it out. Only showing it to certain people is the reports on the street. But they are "honest, hardworking Americans" right???????????

What "jewery" we have in NJ. There are only 20 to 25 million of them worldwide, but you have one sting operation on the boardwalk and it nets a bunch of 'em.

Sometimes when i get up to northern NJ on the parkway, i'll stop at a rest stop to get a coffee and the entire place will be filled with black hats and their curls, and all of their wives in amish looking garb.

NJ has plenty of jews, so get used to it!

I think its time they try this in Ocean City...lots of clothing, t-shirt and jewelry stores there too. I wouldn't be surprised if half of the stuff they sell is fake.

Profiling by names isn't a good thing. Just because they aren't John Smith or Bob Johnson doesn't make them terrorists. Religion has nothing to do with their businesses either, they simply found that ripping people off is a easy way to good make money(for them anyways).

I bet half the businessmen involved with boardwalk stores are just as crooked as the politicians running the town.

They are ALL JEWS, except one, who is an Indian. Jews are everywhere, and have been here in the US for just as long as you, if not longer. Like it or not, they are part of the foundation of this country in almost every way.

buy American = what you buy is more often than not in most ways related to Jews. do you discount the zillions of Jewish lawyers, politicians, doctors, business people etc because of what their names look like?

It's not the point of someone thinking the bags are real, in fact, most of these stores advertise them as "designer impostor", so there is no question. The point is that selling fake goods is illegal, whether you advertise them as fake or not. The logos are copy written.

You want to give people the illusion that you have the money for these products, but either don't have the money OR don't feel like spending it on the real thing... so why fake it? You could just as well spend the same amount of money on a bag from The Gap or Nine West and it's not illegal or made in questionable conditions.

It's great they are cracking down on boardwalk counterfeits - it's not as if it's anything new. Will they also crack down on the vendor who rents (one hopes) a booth at the festivals at Fox Park from the city - the one who sells counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Chanel, D&G, you name it? Who doesn't know those are counterfeit? Hint: Those labels don't sell at a discount - ever - let alone at a 90% discount.

There are many of us who work and work harder than you at the boardwalk stores believe me!! Many of the boardwalk merchants in these shops have no real place they call home.............they travel from place to place doing the same thing they do in Wildwood and then move to Florida, New York and God knows where else!! It is a traveling caravan of merchants!! And all they do is complain that we don't like them cause they are from another country. Who really doesn't like who here? Look at your opinion of us.
FYI----Many of us work two jobs here to support their families. The foreigners come to our country to make money off of us Americans. It is your choice that you work in a job with no benefits. You must like something about it. How hard is it to stand in a store on the boardwalk and watch people? Really? Try doing some real manual labor!!
My question to the United States is why do we allow people who are actually envious of us to come here and reap profits from "Spoiled Americans". It is time for American to take a stand and stop helping outsiders as they do not appreciate what they get from America!! They just use and abuse our systems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to help our fellow Americans first and foremost before we help others!! Wake up American!!

We, Americans, also work jobs with no breaks, no benefits, no insurance, etc. Working in the hotel and restaurant business, we don't get breaks and for some jobs don't get paid. The unskilled foreign workers get an hourly rate that we don't. If you want to try the sympathy button, it won't work here. They come over here and make alot of money. If they don't like the hours, why are they flocking over here? They also share what we Americans share...freedom to leave if they don't like it!!!

hey guys, you shop at these stores every summer, and have a great time shopping in them!!
these guys are all American citizen, they are honest guys that work hard for their money, and they pay taxes like you and me. they have been coming to wildwood every summer for the past 30 years to serve you and to sell you good merchandise.

how about the ones that buy properties here and do not abide by the rules--fixing them up without permits/tearing off the STOP WORK ORDER and continuing to do work without permits..................No one is doing anything about it. That's what happens when we sell out America. It's bad enough that we outsource thousands of jobs but to have these Middle Eastern scumbags making money from hard working American taxpayers makes me ill...like I get from the food on the boardwalk. Recently, I called my credit card over a dispute and 3 times I got a Middle Eastern who couldn't speak English. I repeatedly asked for an American supervisor and couldn't get one. This country is going to shit and FAST!!!

Did anyone else notice the names of those arrested? Do you think they have a link to terrorism and that your well spent money is being used to further their agenda? Maybe some hot shot lawyer will try to prove that the authorities are picking on them because of their ethnic origin and they will be in business next week, in time to salvage this temporary set back.
