COURT HOUSE — Appointments are being taken for the Aug. 8 PAD screening program at Cape Regional Medical Center. Call Bonnie Kratzer, Center for Lifestyle Management Coordinator, at 609-463-4043 to schedule an appointment.
This free screening program is offered the second Friday of each month from 9 a.m. until noon at the Medical Center. Patients are asked to enter through the Patient Entrance.
These screenings are for individuals who experience a feeling of heaviness or pain in their legs while walking. A common cause of such leg pain may be poor circulation or peripheral artery disease (PAD). This condition affects nearly 10 million Americans.
If not treated, PAD can impair your ability to walk or lead to other serious conditions.
A brief history of symptoms and current health conditions will be requested when patients call for an appointment.
