I dont know who told you or were you got your info from but you could never take the state police issued boating license test online. The class that the USCG gives is a minimum of 8hrs. The test you use to take down at motor vehicle was never any good for a PWC. The law went into effect in 2007.

All NJ boat operators NOW must attend a written USCG training class and must take a test. The course is at lest 4-5 hours long and you must pass the test. This is a new law as of this year. Previously, all that was required was an online test. This is a new law. That is the law that the first reader was probably referring to.

WOW. How do you know that the responsible PWC operator was the one hurt. What stricter boating laws are u talking about. The only thing that is being enforce is that the older people need boating licensens. its still the same age for a PWC and that age is 16. Before you run your mouth get the facts

Once again, some idiot that should not be operating a PWC causes a crash. The responsible PWC operators are hurt everytime some irresponsible moron causes a crash. I was out on the 4th and quickly decided to get off the water. There were too many idiots riding recklessly. I applaud the stricter boating laws, we need to the police to enforce them now.
