I’m shocked. I’ve been accused of discrimination!
Seems there are people out there who think On Deck magazine is only for tourists—and after all the work we’ve put into making this the most comprehensive guide to fun in Cape May County—for everyone.

Not you, of course. You’re the savvy one who’s reading Reflections, where I reflect on all the brilliant pieces in this week’s issue. You know that On Deck has the Dining, Shopping, and Recreation guides, the Entertainment Grid, as well as stories about festivals, art exhibits, nature walks—all the choices you have for spending your leisure time here, whether it’s the weekend, an evening, or every day all summer long.

We call our calendar What’s On Deck, because it has the whole lineup of events countywide. Some, in fact, are especially for residents (although they welcome visitors, too), like The Whale of a Day.
This Fourth of July week, we also list all the parades and fireworks. Read below about a special patriotic ceremony you can attend any evening through Labor Day.

Besides all that, we have great stories to read on the beach or poolside. This week Carolyn Miller interviewed TV host Lynn Doyle who’s taping several of her shows, “It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle,” in Ocean City. Miller takes you behind the scenes with the video at CapeMayCountyHerald.com.
