Teenagers can “Catch the Reading Bug” at Cape May County Library this summer and be “busy bees” during “Teen Cape May County Writer’s Workshop Camp.”
Keri Mikulski offers a relaxing writer’s retreat for teens from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning July 9, and continuing for eight weeks until August 27.
Camp is held at the Main Branch of the Library, 30 Mechanic St., Cape May Court House.

Teen writers will be guided through a genuine professional writer’s workshop using tips from the literary world, from keeping and designing a writer’s notebook, to peer and group conferencing, to drafting.
Writing skills will improve with each step with teens deciding every aspect of the creative process, whether fiction, poetry, or comics, writing will be taken to the next level.

Keri Mikulski, of Cape May County, is a young adult author of “Screwball.” A writer and teacher, Mikulski earned a master’s degree in teaching from The College of New Jersey, and is a graduate of The Institute of Children’s Writing.
Her writing has been published in Golfer Girl, Softball Youth, South Jersey Mom, and Fastpitch Forever magazines and Mikulski is the Chick Lit Pick columnist for South Jersey Mom magazine.
