NORTH CAPE MAY — Bishop Joseph Galante of the Diocese of Camden traveled to this Lower Township community June 24 to cut the ribbon that opened, officially, Haven House on Townbank Road.

The facility will provide 75 units for low and moderate income senior citizens.

Diocesan officials stated at the ceremony that the units are fully occupied. It had opened to residents in March.

wed 6/25 759 comment I hear the alarms were over 16 calls and the time for the construction company personal to respond was over an hour each time. The biggest concern was the people with no management on site I heard the alarm has been fixed But I really hope these seniors know what to do if a real fire does happen.

Oh yeah, he cares alright. Ask him how many times the fire department has been there due to faulty fire system in that facility. Probably somewhere near 10 times, and there is never anyone there to let the fireman in to check on the seniors there. All Father Forbes cares about is how much do ra mi the church is taking in their tills.

Thank you to all the Lower township taxpayers for subsidizing another property tax free building. One more to go.

When is the Bishop moving in? He's past retirement age after all. I'd bet he'd be good organizing canasta parties.
