Ocean City Police Seek Robbers Who Assaulted Two

OCEAN CITY -- When Shore Memorial Hospital officials alerted Ocean City police that they had cared for two assault victims on June 13, officers were detailed to the Somers Point facility.

According to a police report, on that date at 10:42 p.m. the report was received that two subjects had been assaulted and robbed earlier in the night in the Boardwalk area.

The victims, a male and female, told police they were approached by two subjects while walking from the boardwalk about 9 p.m.

The actors struck both victims repeatedly during the robbery.

One of the perpetrators reached into the pockets of the female and removed cash and a cell phone. She was able to retrieve the cell phone from that person.

Both victims were treated for their injuries at the hospital and released.

Heading the investigation is Patrolman Gheen and Detective Mark Pancoast.

One suspect were described as being a white male in late teens to early 20s, thin build, wearing baggy white shirt, about 6 feet in height with a full beard.

The other subject was a black male, late teens to early 20s, with a baggy white shirt, gold ring on his index finger.
