
OCEAN CITY — Ocean City Police Department conducted an investigation into an aggravated assault, terroristic threats and weapons offenses that occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 900 block Ocean Avenue.
When officers arrived, two victims were identified, a male and a female. Both were treated at the scene for injuries by Ocean City Fire Rescue units.
They gave police information that led t the arrest of Ronald Monroe, 18, of Maple Glen, Pa.,
He is alleged to have through several punches that struck the victims in the head, and caused injuries. He is further alleged to have produced a folding type knife during the assault.
The knife is not believed to have caused any injuries,
Patrolman Robert Reichanek of the Noise and Alcohol Unit and Patrolman Vivarelli of the Patrol Division conducted the investigation and arrests.
Monroe was charged with aggravated assault with a knife, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Municipal Judge Richard Russell set Monroe’s bail at $15,000.

I was horrified when I read this because Ronald Monroe is the karate Taekwondo instructor at Competitive Edge Martial Arts in fort washington, pa.
