Middle Police Post May 4-10 Activity Report

COURT HOUSE -- For the week May 4-10 members of the Middle Township Police Department responded to or initiated 1,037 calls for service, averaging 148 calls per day.

The following is a brief rundown of the more serious calls for service or any reported incidents involving thefts which occurred during the week.

May 4:

Malicious damage to vehicle reported at 11:26 a.m. at Shop Rite parking lot Rio Grande, smashed window.
Aggravated assault reported at 12:24 p.m. on Ridge Road, Dias Creek. Man with a knife threatening others.
Remove unwanted subject reported at 1:18 p.m. in the 1400 block Burleigh Road, Green Creek. Subject was removed.
Hindering apprehension at 1:24 p.m. by patrol unit on Route 47 South, Green CreekOne arrest was made.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 1:39 p.m. on Route 9 N Court House.
Fraud investigation begun at 6:27 p.m. by patrol in the 500 block Route 47 South, Green Creek.
Three warrant arrests were made this date.

May 5:
Driving while intoxicated, one arrest after motor vehicle stop at 4:32 a.m. by patrol unit on Route 47 South, Rio Grande.
Malicious damage, broken windows reported at 7:38 a.m.to patrol in the 500 block, Route 9, Court House.
Attempted suicide reported at 6:46 a.m. in Grande Woods, Rio Grande. Officer resuscitated victim.
Attempted suicide reproted at 8:12 a.m. to patrol in the 100 block Indian Trail, Burleigh. Person taken to Cape Regional Medical Center
Theft investigation begun at 8:39 a.m. by patrol in the 200 block Joffre Avenue, Burleigh.
Malicious damage, broken windows reported at 9:47 a.m. to patrol at Avalon Pointe Marina.
Forgery investigation started by patrol and detectives at 11:40 a.m. in 100 block Lehigh Avenue, Del Haven
Weapons offense reported at 1:39 p.m.to patrol in the 100 block Maurice Boulevard, Rio Grande.
Threats of a gun made towards a customer reported at 2:13 p.m. at Shop Rite, Rio Grande. No weapon was found.
Sudden death of non suspicious nature reported at 2:14 p.m. to patrol and detectives on Lacivita Drive, Green Creek.
Burglary to a vehicle reported at 3:04 p.m. to patrol in the
Superfresh parking lot, Court House. Medication was stolen.
Harassment reported at 4:18 p.m. to patrol and detectives at 4:18 p.m. at Cape Regional Medical Center. One arrest multiple incidents.
Assault reported at 5:03 p.m. at the Dollar Tree Store. Complaints were signed.
Theft of a trailer reproted at 6:47 p.m. to patrol on Indian Trail, Burleigh.
Terroristic threats reported at 8:05 p.m. to patrol on Siegtown Road, Swainton.
Out of control subject reported at 9:05 p.m. to patrol on West Beaver Dam Road, Swainton. Person taken to Cape Regional Medical Center.
Five motor vehicle accidents investigated this date:
Route 9 Rio Grande, 6:19 a.m.
Route 47 and Bayshore Road, 8:26 a.m.
Court House South Dennis Road , 2:38 p.m.
Route 9 north. 3:27 p.m.
US Gas lot Rio Grande, 5:04 p.m.

May 6:
Burglary to an occupied home reported at 1:59 a.m. to patrol and detectives on Heritgae Drive, Court House. Home owners scared suspect out of home.
Remove an unwanted subject reported at 2:07 a.m. on North 11th Street, Del Haven. Attempted burglary to a home reported at 4:43 a.m. to patrol and detectives on Heritage Drive, Court House.
Fraud investigation, credit cards, reported at 9:21 a.m. in 200 block Hewett Road, Court House.
Attempted burglary reported at 10:02 a.m. to detectives on Heritage Drive, Court House.
Burglary of a vehicle reported at 10:56 a.m. to detectives on Heritage Drive, Court House.
Theft of services, gas reported at 12:18 p.m. at U.S. Gas, Rio Grande,
Motor vehicle theft reported at 12:39 p.m. at 300 Railroad Avenue, Rio Grande, Budget Rent a Truck.
Fraud investigation, Social Security numbers reported at 12:55 p.m. on Mechanic Street, Court House.
Theft of metal pipes reported at 2:12 p.m. at 3600 Route 47 Rio Grande.
Disorderly customer reported at 3:01 p.m. at Bank of America, Rio Grande. Person was removed.
Possible child endangerment investigation at 3:22 p.m. in
100 block Maurice Boulevard, Rio Grande.
Controlled dangerous substance investigation at 4:20 p.m. in Rio Mall area.
Theft of services reported at 4:23 p.m. at Jen’s Nail Salon, Rio Grande.
Disorderly juvenile reported at 5:20 p.m. at Martin Luther King Center, Whitesboro. Person was turned over to parents.
Runaway juvenile reported at 6:35 p.m. in the 100 block West Lena Street, Whitesboro.

May 7:
Underage drinking reported at 12:02 a.m. on Goshen Road, Court House. One arrest made.
Fight call reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 300 block Goshen Road, Court House. Two juvenile arrests.
Officer located a home’s garage and rear door open at 3:03 a.m. on Cynwyd Drive, Court House. Nothing amiss.
Motor vehicle accident reproted at 8:40 a.m. on Route 9, Mayville. Motor vehicle accident reported at 12:16 p.m. on Indian Trail at Starling Road, Burleigh. Theft of medication reported at 12:59 p.m. in 100 block Court House- South Dennis Road, Court House.
Runaway juvenile from school reported at 1:39 p.m. from
Special Services School, Court House. Person was returned.
Driving while intoxicated arrest after motor vehicle stop at 2:57 p.m. on Route 47.
Disorderly student reported at 5:27 p.m. at Special Services School.
Motor vehicle accident at 6:08 p.m. at 611 Old Avalon Boulevard.
Possible counterfeit money reported at 6:11 p.m. at Shop Rite, Rio Grande. Report proved negative. Motor vehicle accident at 8:23 p.m. at Grande Center lot, Rio Grande.
Disorderly female reported at 11:19 p.m. at Cape Regional Medical Center. Subject removed.
One warrant arrest made this date.

May 8:
Trailer fire reported at 5:26 a.m. at Acorn Campground, Green Creek. Origin was deemed accidental.
Truancy investigation started at 8:41 a.m. by school resource officer at Middle Township Middle School.
Theft reported at 9:49 a.m. in 1800 block Route 9 South, Rio Grande.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 10:15 a.m. at Rio Grande Post Office lot.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 12:26 p.m. in Acme Parking lot, Court House.
Malicious , slashed car tires reported at 7:10 p.m., 100 block West Wiley, Whitesboro.
Two warrant arrests made this date.

May 9:
Motor vehicle accident reported at 8:26 a.m. Route 47 South.
Malicious damage, vandalism reported at 9:28 a.m. Cape May County Park South, Del Haven.
Fraud investigation, 1:06 p.m. R-J Storage Route 47 Rio Grande.
Theft of metal reported at 1:29 p.m. on Route 9 and the railroad tracks areas, Rio Grande.
Forgery and fraud of checks reported at 3:34 p.m., Loyalton, Route 9, Court House.
Theft of money reported at 4:06 p.m. in the 200 block Maurice Boulevard, Rio Grande.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 5:07 p.m., Routes 9 and 47, Rio Grande.
Terroristic threats reported at 6:10 p.m., 100 block Bennett Road, Court House. Problem was settled.
Missing person investigation, 6:50 p.m. on Route 9 N Cape May Court House.
Theft reported at 7:01 p.m. at Canal’s Liquors, Rio Grande. Threatening telephone calls reported at 11:45 p.m. at Cape Regional Medical Center.
Burglary to a vehicle reported at 11:54 p.m. in 300 block Linden Lane, Rio Grande.
One warrant Arrest made this date.

May 10:

Driving while intoxicated arrest at motor vehicle stop at 12:18 a.m. on Route 47, Rio Grande.
Malicious damage, slashed tires reported at 12:35 a.m. in
100 block W Wiley St, Whitesboro.
Loud disorderly party reported at 2:30 a.m. in 100 block Lafayette, Del Haven. Moved on.
Controlled dangerous substance arrest, 11:50 a.m. in 1600 block Route 47, Rio Grande.
Remove an unwanted subject, 4:52 p.m. on East Main Street, Edgewood.
