
OCEAN CITY — A city woman faces charges of theft, fraud and illegal drug possession, according to Ocean City police.
On May 4, police responded to 726 Haven Ave. in reference to a subject reportedly possessing stolen property.
When Officer Jeff Doto and Sgt. Kate King arrived at the residence, they discovered Donna Roskowski, 39, of Seventh and Haven Avenue in possession of allegedly stolen property.
An investigation led to the discovery of multiple frauds and thefts that Roskowski is alleged to have committed.
As of May 4, there were 11 persons who had been victimized by Roskowski.
Those frauds consisted of identity fraud, identity health card fraud, identity fraud for illegal prescription drugs to be obtained and credit card fraud.
The thefts consisted of clothing, household items, prescription cards, credit cards, health insurance cards and other forms of identification, which contained other peoples’ personal information, according to a police release.
Roskowski was charged with six counts of receiving stolen property, one count, credit card t heft,
Four counts possession of controlled dangerous substance, 11 counts of possession of prescription legend drug, two counts of possession of prescription legend drug, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
Roskowski’s bail was set at $25,000 by Judge George Neidig. Jr.
The investigation crossed over into other jurisdictions, and the department is aiding other departments in solving crimes that have taken place in those jurisdictions.
Detectives John Mazzuca and Steve Schaffer are investigating the local cases.
