Cape May Whale Watcher's first Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventure

Board the Cape May Whale Watcher to view six historic lighthouses including pedestal lighthouses standing offshore in the Bay’s mid-channel. The cruise includes a lavish complimentary cold luncheon buffet including shrimp, finger sandwiches, cheese and fruit trays and dessert. A cash bar is available. Seating is limited to 175 passengers and tickets are $75 each. The Cape May Whale Watcher departs from the Miss Chris Marina, Second Avenue and Wilson Drive, on Tuesday, May 13 at 12:30 p.m.

Seven-hour Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventures are offered Saturdays, May 17, June 28, and Sept. 20 and Sundays, July 27 and Aug. 24. “The Big Trip” features nine lighthouses that were built during the late 19th and early part of the 20th centuries to aid ships sailing the treacherous mid-channel of the Delaware Bay. Expect to see all of the following Delaware Bay lighthouses viewable by boat on “The Big Trip:” Cape May Lighthouse, Harbor of Refuge (Lewes), Delaware Breakwater East End (Lewes), Brandywine Shoal, Fourteen Foot Light, Miah Maull Shoal, Cross Ledge, Elbow of Cross Ledge and Ship John Light.
Every Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventure not only offers superb lighthouse viewing and photo opportunities, but also includes narration on Delaware Bay lore and legend, and information on fishing and spawning grounds and the chance to see marine life like dolphins and whales.

“The Big Trip” departs from the Miss Chris Marina at 10 a.m. Admission is $99 per person and seating is limited to 175 passengers. This thrilling seven-hour cruise adventure includes complimentary coffee and danish in the morning, and a lavish cold luncheon with shrimp, finger sandwiches, cheese and fruit trays, and dessert, as well as a cash bar in the afternoon.
