Assaults, Thefts Among Middle Police Investigations

COURT HOUSE -- During the week of April 20 thru 26, members of the Middle Township Police Department responded to or initiated 915 calls for service, averaging 130 calls per day.

The following is a brief rundown of the more serious calls for service or any reported incidents involving thefts which occurred during the week:

April 20:
Driving while intoxicated arrest at 8:38 a.m. as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Indian Trail Road, Burleigh.
Simple assault investigation at 9:27 a.m. at Grande Center, Rio Grande, one arrest.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 1:32 p.m. in Shop Rite lot, Rio Grande.
Simple assault investigation at 7:23 p.m. at Whispering Woods Motel, Green Creek.One arrest made.
Child endangerment investigation at 7:49 p.m. at Whispering Woods Motel, Green Creek
Runaway investigation reported at 10:27 p.m. in the ,100 block W. Lena Street, Whitesboro. Juvenile was returned home.
Five warrant arrests made on this date.

April 21:
Theft of tikis and palm tree ornaments reported at 8:55 a.m. at Pool Zone Store Route 47, Green Creek.
Motor vehicle accident reported at 10:03 a.m. on North 10th Street, Del Haven.
Controlled dangerous substance possession and arrest at 1:05 p.m. reported by school officer at Middle Township High School, Court House.
Aggravated assault with a pellet gun reported at 4:07 p.m. at Cape Regional Medical Center; report of wound injury.
Stolen property investigation at 5:25 p.m. by detectives at Village Shoppes, Rio Grande.
One warrant arrest made this date.

April 22:
Theft of a golf cart reported at 7:37 a.m. in 300 block Route 47 South, Dias Creek. Domestic violence reported at 7:49 a.m. Motor vehicle stop made on Route 47, Green Creek. One arrest made.
Theft of equipment reported at 12:13 p.m. at Rental Country, Route 9, Court House.
Terroristic threats reported at 2 p.m. in 100 block Central Avenue, Court House.
Malicious damage and theft reported at 8:44 p.m. in the 100 block Fifth Street, Rio Grande.

Three motor vehicle accidents investigated:
Route 47 at Lacivita Drive, Dias Creek, 8:22 a.m.
Route 9 South, 9:24 a.m.
Route 47, Rio Grande, 8:10 p.m.

April 23:
Driving while intoxicated arrest made at 1:58 a.m. on Shunpike Road, Court House.
Domestic violence reported at 2 a.m. at Court House Motel, Court House
Malicious damage reported at 8:59 a.m. on South Second Street, Rio Grande.
Missing person, a 12-year-old juvenile reported at 10:07 a.m. to patrol and detectives in the 300 block Linden Lane, Rio Grande. Person was located at 4:30 p.m.
Controlled dangerous substance reported at 10:17 a.m. at
Middle Township High School, Court House. Two arrests were made.
Burglary to a motel room reported at 11:14 a.m. at Whispering Woods Motel, Green Creek.
Child endangerment investigation 12:12 p.m. at Delsea Woods Mobile Home Park, Route 47 Green Creek.
Terroristic threats reported at 1:22 p.m. in the 300 block Cedar Avenue.
Controlled dangerous substance and fraud reported at 2:05 p.m. at Superior Court Probation, Court House, one arrest was made.
CDS investigation and arrestsat 9:57 p.m. by Street Crimes Unit in the 2200 block Route 9, Rio Grande. Two arrests were made.
Runaway juvenile reported at 11:44 p.m. in 100 block West Lena Street, Whitesboro.

April 24:
Fraud investigation reported at 9:25 a.m. to detectives at Cape May County Social Services, Rio Grande.
Burglary and theft reported at 3:24 p.m. in 200 block Joffre Avenue, Burleigh. Theft of jewelry reported. Missing person investigation reported at 6:14 p.m. at Presidential Courts, Court House. Subject returned.
Sex offense investigation initiated at 10:55 a.m. by detectives on Pennsylvania Avenue, Whitesboro.
Driving while intoxicated arrest made at 11:25 p.m. on Shunpike Road, Court House.
Motor vehicle accidents investigated:
Court House, 9:04 a.m.
Route 47 and Fulling Mill Road, Rio Grande, 12:53 p.m.
Mayville Plaza, Court House, 2:34 p.m.
Route 9 South, 3:23 p.m.
Court House-South Dennis Road, Court House, 4:02 p.m.

April 25:
Runaway juvenile reported at 1:35 a.m. to patrol and detectives in the 100 block West Lena Street, Whitesboro. Person returned on April 27.
Hindering prosecution at 5:07 a.m. in Court House. One arrest was made.
Burglary to a vehicle reported at 6:45 p.m. at Holly Knoll, Swainton.
Theft of a power washer reported at 9:45 p.m. in the 200 block, Route 47.
Fraud reported at 4:38 p.m. at N.J. Motor Vehicle Commission office, Rio Grande.
Shoplifter reported at 6:41 p.m. at K-Mart, Rio Grande. One arrest was made.
Domestic violence reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 100 block Fifth Street, Rio Grande.
Motor vehicle accidents investigated:
Route 9 South, 7:17 p.m.
Joe Canal’s lot, Rio Grande, 1:43 p.m.
Court House-Dennis Road, Court House, 2:48 p.m.
Two warrant arrests made this date.

April 26:
Theft of wood reported at 10:23 p.m. on Schoolhouse Lane, Court House. Two arrests made.
Motor vehicle accidents investigated:
107 Rutledge, Del Haven, 8:48 a.m.
US Gas Route 47, Rio Grande, 10:45 a.m.
5 Fifth Street, Rio Grande, 11:22 a.m.
Hand Avenue, Court House,1:39 p.m.
Shop Rite lot, Rio Grande, 2:17 p.m.
Cape Regional Medical Center, 3:48 p.m.
Three warrant arrests made this date.
