NORTH WILDWOOD- At 7:30 p.m. on April 24 the North Wildwood Fire Department performed their weekly drill in the parking lot behind Gateway 26 on the Boardwalk.

This drill is preparation for the upcoming tourist season, when the congestion of parked vehicles makes managing hoses and accessing hydrants more difficult.

in all my years in North Wildwood, i have never seen the fire dept practice drills such as these. In one way it good to prepare but in another sence, it sends the message that the city is trying to justify it needs 3 fire stations for a town only one and a half miles long with high property taxes.
