CAPE MAY — Due to the closing of Convention Hall by city officials due to structural problems, the Cape May Jazz Festival is moving two events to the Paul Schmidtchen Auditorium at Lower Cape May Regional High School on Route 9 in Erma.

The Rippingtons will perform Friday April 18 at the regional high school auditorium as well as Javon Jackson Saturday April 19.

The state-of-the-art facility has been described as the third best performing arts center in the state. The jazz festival presented Chuck Mangione in regional's auditorium two years ago.

Cintron’s latin dance party April 19 will be moved to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Cape May’s Washington Street Mall.
The festival will run shuttle buses from Cape May to the Lower Cape May Regional.

The box office will remain open in Convention Hall in Cape May.
