COURT HOUSE -- It is finally Primary Election Day in the Garden State. Polls will remain open throughout the day until 8 p.m. And for the first time, the primary election is not being held in June, but on "Super Tuesday."
Registered Democrats and Republicans may cast a vote for their choice of presidential candidates.
Undeclared voters may, if they choose, vote, but they must declare a party. At that time, their voting machine will allow them to vote only in that party’s election.
Unaffiliated voters, former Independents, may vote, but must declare a party prior to voting. They may revert to their prior status by filing a form at the election board office.
Results of the primary will be available on the Herald Web site as soon as they become available.
