WILDWOOD CREST — Borough firefighters were summoned to 8205 Pacific Avenue on Nov. 5 about 2:30 p.m. for a report of smoke in a house.
When they arrived, firefighters found a hole through the rear wall, and a portion of the hot water heater lodged against the rear fence.
A plumber had reportedly been working at the house, and was called to return to the address by firefighters.
The Cape May County Fire Marshal Albert Beers investigated the incident.
