The Cape May County Museum presents “Remember the Ladies” at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Enjoy a day dedicated just to women with two lectures and a garden luncheon. The Cape May County Museum is located at 504 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
Susan Dowling will present “Out of the Cocoon” about Victorian women who broke away from the mores of the day to find their own path. At noon, we’ll serve a catered lunch in the garden of the Museum. After lunch, listen to tales of Grace O’Malley the Woman Pirate and Eddy O’Malley.
The Cape May County Historical & Genealogical Society received a special project support regrant for programming from the Cape May County Division of Culture and Heritage, under the direction of the Board of Chosen Freeholders. The Division administered the funds that had been provided through a grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State.
Tickets are $20 and are available by calling the Museum at 609-465-3535. Attendance is limited, so please call early.
