Disney’s
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL!
Live On Stage in One Act
Ocean City, NJ – Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) is thrilled to announce the formation of its Junior Company including youth from Ocean City and the surrounding areas. November 7 and 8 the Junior Company will premier Disney’s High School Musical Live On Stage the One Act Version at the Ocean City Music Pier.
Under the direction of Michael Hartman and Marcia Dunlap, this smash hit musical brings East High to life on stage! Troy Bolton’s world revolves around basketball and he is the star of the team, but everything get’s turned upside down when the girl he met over winter break shows up at East High! The beautiful and brainy Gabriella is the new girl in town and raising the reputation of East High as the key member of the school's successful academic team. Together they share a secret love of singing they discovered over break after meeting and unwillingly singing karaoke! Despite their outgoing personalities, no one would ever peg Troy and Gabriella as “theater types.” When word gets out that this popular pair has secretly chosen to try their luck on stage, the students of East High learn an important lesson in teamwork while gearing up for a musical performance that will have everyone dancing in the aisles.
Don’t miss this contemporary youthful hit on November 7 at 7:30 PM and November 8 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM at the Ocean City Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk. For tickets please visit www.ocnj.us or the visit Annex of City Hall. This production is being sponsored by the Ocean City Free Public Library and Gillian’s Wonderland Pier.
