Come celebrate Independence Day as our ancestors did at Historic Cold Spring Village’s annual “Independence Day Celebration” weekend on Saturday and Sunday, July 5th & 6th from 10 am to 4:30 pm, sponsored by the Brigantine VFW. Vintage 1800s baseball game at 12 noon on Saturday, featuring the Flemington Neshanock vs. the Elkton Eclipse. On Sunday, the Hackettstown Junior Ancient Fife & Drums Corps will lead a parade around Village grounds, followed by patriotic programs and speeches including The Story of Old Glory. Themed children’s crafts and activities will be offered.
Historic Cold Spring Village is located on Route 9, three miles north of Victorian Cape May and a mile and a half west of the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway. HCSV is open Tuesday through Sunday, (closed Mondays) from June 17th to August 31st, as well as the weekends of September 6th-7th, and 13th-14th. Admission during the season is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors (62 and over) and $6.00 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are admitted free. Unlimited free admission is available with membership in the Friends of Historic Cold Spring Village.
