So you want to write a book, a novella, a short story, but you don’t have a clue about how to start it, finish it, get it edited and published, and once finished, how to market it so people will buy and read it.
Help is on the way on these and other important writing questions for those who attend North Wildwood’s sixth annual Beach Writers Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, June 4 and 5, at the Wildwoods Convention Center. The conference, called “The Writers Road to Success,” features authors and other writers who have spoken or taught at prestigious institutions of higher education and have written published works.
Among their topics will be “Happy Endings—Finishing What You Start,” “Ten Mistakes That Writers Make---And Then Some,” “Working With An Editor,” “The Art of The Book Pitch,” and “Writing The Chapter Book For Children.”
It’s one of the best writers conference bargains on record. For $50 attendees will hear the words of wisdom of 13 experienced speakers, will enjoy dinner and a keynote speaker and will partake of a continental breakfast, all at the state-of-the art new Wildwoods Convention Center. And, if you’ve written a book, you’ll have the opportunity to win a door prize, amounting to about $700, from Infinity Publishing toward the publication of the book.
Checks should be sent to the City of North Wildwood Financial Officer, City Hall, 901 Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood, N.J. 08260. Write “conference/contest/dinner” at the bottom of the check. Entries for consideration may be submitted with the check. If planning to attend the conference and the dinner, just write “dinner” at the bottom of the check.
