On Wednesday, May 7th, Project ACES (All Children Exercising Simultaneously) is celebrating it's 20th year and the Avalon Students and Staff are participating in 30 minutes of sustained exercise to raise awareness of the importance of exercise and fitness. This project was started by Len Saunders, a physical education teacher from New Jersey in 1989. "Children need motivational and fun tools to enjoy exercise" explains Saunders. ACES is just that... a fun way to exercise. Children get excited to exercise because they know kids all over the world will be exercising along with them. Date: May 7th at 2:30 in the school gym.
