The Middle Township Recreation Center’s Kids Chess Club is sponsoring a chess tournament open to all grades. The Tournament will take place at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center, Main Street in Whitesboro on Tuesday, May 6. Sign-in begins at 4:00; the tournament runs from 4:30-6:30, with pizza, prizes and awards from 6:30-7:00. Register for the tournament at a chess club meeting or by contacting Mary Bittner at 624-8971 or marybittner@comcast.net. The Chess Club meets every Tuesday at the Martin Luther King Rec. Center from 4:30-6:00.
